Weekend: The Void Traders Hate.

By CubanCrypt | CubanCrypt | 10 Apr 2026

There are two types of people when the alarm clock rings on a Monday morning.

The first hits the snooze button, counts down the days until Friday, and dreams of the weekend like someone dreams of a vacation. For them, Monday is an obligation. Friday is the goal.

The second opens their eyes with a different energy. They know that in a few hours the markets will awaken, liquidity will return, and the candlesticks will start dancing. For them, Monday isn't an obligation. It's an opportunity.

It's not about who's better. It's about understanding that the way you earn a living ends up shaping how you see life.

The traditional worker sells their time. That's why the time they don't sell (the weekend) becomes sacred. It's the space where they recover what they gave up during the week. Friday is the reward. Monday is the return to the cage.

The trader, on the other hand, invests their time. They don't have a fixed schedule because the market dictates it. Their week isn't measured in days of endurance until rest, but in opportunities that arise while the world keeps turning. That's why the weekend, for them, isn't sacred. It's silence. It's waiting. It's an emptiness that's only filled when Monday brings the screen back to life.

One looks forward to Friday to stop working.
The other looks forward to Monday to go back to work.

One measures their success by how they survive the week.
The other measures their week by how they make the most of it.

One feels the weekend is too short.
The other feels the weekend is too long.

And this is where many get confused. They think this is a critique of traditional work, or a declaration of superiority.
No !!
Both worlds are necessary. Traditional work sustains the infrastructure, produces goods, and organizes society. Not everyone can be a trader, nor do they want to be.

But what's interesting is noticing how the structure of your profession shapes your psychology.

Those who sell their time learn to value silence.
Those who invest their time learn to value movement.

And when you cross from one world to the other, something changes in your mind.
Monday stops being a countdown and starts being a starting point.
Friday stops being a release and starts being a closure.
The weekend stops being a reward and becomes a pause that sometimes feels long.

That's why traders hate weekends.

Not because they don't know how to rest, but because their brains have become accustomed to a different rhythm. The rhythm of someone who doesn't wait for time to be given to them, but goes to find it where the market has it.
