Many traders dream of managing large accounts. But most don't have the capital to risk in a real account, nor the patience to spend months on traditional challenges.
That's where instant funding comes in. And in my case, after several years away from prop firms, my first contact was with Xiomex's free Challenge.
In this chapter, I'm going to tell you how it works, what advantages it has, and why, although it may seem "too good to be true," there's a clear logic behind it.

What is Xiomex's free Challenge?
It's a free challenge. You register, access a simulated account (with virtual money), and you have one objective: to follow the rules.

You know that if you pass the challenge, you can access a fully funded account. That changes the way you trade. It's not just any demo.
3. You learn to manage risk.
The rules force you to be disciplined: maximum drawdown, daily drawdown, limit per asset.

Rules of the simulated account after passing the free challenge:
• Maximum drawdown: 8% (you cannot lose more than 8% of your initial capital).
• Daily drawdown: 4% (you cannot lose more than 4% in a single day).
• Maximum risk per asset: 20% (you cannot concentrate all your risk on a single instrument).
• Withdrawals: bi-weekly (1st-3rd and 15th-18th of each month).
• Minimum withdrawal: 4% of your initial capital.
• Profit split: 90% for the trader, 10% for Xiomex.

The catch (and it's not a scam)
Here's the detail many overlook: the news rule.
In the simulate account, trading is not allowed on days with high-impact news for major financial assets (XAU/USD, EUR/USD, DJI/USD, SPX/USD).
It sounds reasonable. But in practice, there's high-impact news almost every day (FOMC, NFP, CPI, PMI, ADP, etc.).
This makes it nearly impossible to pass the Challenge if you trade frequently. Not because the rules are bad, but because the margin for error is so small.

The confusion it creates.
On Trustpilot and other forums, many traders complain that they "weren't paid" or that "the account wasn't free." But the reality is this:
• The Challenge is free. That's true.
• The simulated account with funding (if you pass the Challenge) has a cost. That's the source of the confusion.
Many expect everything to be free. It's not. Xiomex gives you the opportunity to try it risk-free, but if you want access to real funding, you have to pay.

Is it worth it?
For a beginner, absolutely.
It's a demo account with real pressure.
You don't risk your capital.
You learn to manage emotions and risk.
If you fail, you only lost time, not money.

If you pass, you gain access to an account with favorable conditions.

Don't see it as a way to make quick money. See it as an opportunity to practice, fail, learn, and improve.
If you pass, great. If not, try again. There's no penalty.
