Reminder, ole Crypto Pappy here is just musing and muddling about the massive data store called my noodle and sharing my POV.
Keep playing the crypto market like the stock market and, well, you've seen what happens there. Some win. Most lose. You need a decent amount of cash upfront and time to sit and play the market to win when you use crypto as a stock like this.
All Coins Are Not Created Equal.
What I like to do is read the proof of concepts/use statements/etc. You know, the ole "WHY?" Just an old habit I picked up while picking up three university degrees after a good 20 years in other industries.
I don't buy coins, by the way. I spin free wheels and earn coins then convert them into coins I think may go somewhere.

I play what they call the HODL position. I buy and hold onto the coins. HODL is what they call it. What's that? WHY? Us techies are weird like that. It was just a typo for 'hold' and it caught on.
I do see how others are making money by investing low/selling high. That's okay, just not CryptoPappy's cup of tea.
I read the proof of concept/use statements/etc and see how that fits in with my 40 years experience in business, technology, manufacturing, etc. Crypto Pappy keeps busy! Then convert ( buy ) some of my Bitcoin ( or Litecoin, Doge, whatever I feel like that I got for FREE anyway ) to these usually very cheap coins.
One coin I bought back on 06MAR, Enjin, already doubled in value. THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT. My point is, I read the proof of concept, etc., and like the idea. So I bought some and will buy more. Then I'm just going to HODL.
Sure, it's nice it already doubled, but what I am really waiting for, and this is why I bought it, ADOPTION. If the technology isn't adopted in a useful way, it's worthless.
Given that I program games in Unity, the adoption of the Enjin blockchain into the Unity Developement environment was the deciding factor for me.
Here's a 11MAR CoinDesk story. If you REALLY want to play the 'market' just this what the biggest markets are: Phones, Games, Fashion ( Yes, Fashion ). The gaming market alone is a 20+ BILLION $$$ industry.
