HYPE is a digital branch controlled by Banca Sella and has started to activate bitcoin wallets on its online platform.
These are real bitcoins and not simple bits on the corporate information systems of this bank: because a 12-word SEED is created in the wallet and with the related addresses you can buy, transfer or sell bitcoins without restrictions or limitations. Hype is part of the Banca Sella group and manages 1,200,000 customers in Italy.
Currently only Italian residents can access these services.

When you buy or sell bitcoins there is a small commission for the intermediary activity of HYPE. These costs do not vary in any of the three plans (Start, Plus or Premium). Instead, the daily and annual limits of purchase and sale change:

Obviously bitcoin purists (who know exactly what it is) would never use these systems to manage their bitcoins (be your own bank) but there is no denying that these things can favor mass adoption by allowing to holding bitcoins even to those who are not accustomed.

The worst enemy of the unaware bitcoin holder is the user himself. Distracted, approximate, unable to properly keep his private key. For him, the option remains to delegate the safekeeping of his bitcoins to others.  In other words, you delegate the risk-management of bitcoins losing to the bank itself, as has always been done up to now with fiat coins.

With the safekeeping of bitcoins in the bank, several cornerstones fall, the most noteworthy is non-censorship. But the beauty of all this is that there is now a choice.

The good thing about this is that other banks will follow suit. Although I am convinced that many are already working and have not been able to "go out" first. Not only in Italy but all over the world. I hope this experimentation will be successful: this will contribute to the increase in demand for BTC and, consequently, to increase its value.
