SpaceX has been on a tear lately with rocket launches for their satellite constellation, to flying their private customers payloads and working closely on NASA missions. On the human space travel side they have been the ones to bring astronaut launches back to U.S. soil. To now leading the charge of bringing the world's first all-civilian mission to space and YOU can join the crew!

Who's going and how many people will be part of the crew?

Crew Member One

The commander and benefactor of the mission is Jared Isaacman who is the founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments, which is a leading company in integrated payment processing solutions. He's an accomplished jet pilot who co-founded the world’s largest private air force, Draken International, which trains all kinds of pilots for the United States Armed Forces.

Crew Member Two

This member has not yet been announced and is set to be a St. Jude ambassador.

Crew Members Three and Four

Yet to be announced. There is currently under two weeks left before they begin selection of the last two members of the mission. It is still open for those who wish to apply!

The current goal is to finalize the crew selection by March and then to launch the mission some time in Q4 of 2021. While in space they will be conducting a number of experiments, research and projects.

I think this is a win-win opportunity if you want to get a chance to fly in space. Both because you will be helping a great charity in need and giving your self an entry for the experience of a lifetime. Space flight has long been a dream for many of us and now that dream may not be so far away for a lucky few.
