I have been wanting to get on the Cosmos bandwagon for ages as people say that it is easy to get pretty lucrative staking rewards for ATOM. So, I was thrilled to bite when I woke up today and found not just one, but three Learn and Earn lessons on my Coinbase dashboard.
Swiftly did the 3 lessons on Chain, NEAR and AMP and converted all these cryptocurrencies to get ATOM. Then, I went to download the Keplr wallet.
This was followed by transferring my newly minted ATOM in my Coinbase account to my Keplr wallet. You can see that I lost about 40 cents during the conversion of altcoins to my desired ATOM.
After checking that my ATOM had arrived safe and sound in my Keplr wallet, I proceeded to stake it. Frankly speaking, I had no idea what all these staking fees entailed, so I just chose the middle option. Please enlighten me if you know what these staking tiers mean.
Ta da! Staking successful with Coinbase Custody. It’s strange that I chose to still stake ATOM with Coinbase after withdrawing it from it in the first place but anyway…
24 hours have not passed, but it seems that I have already received some rewards. So exciting!
