Huge XRP Win Against the SEC
On May 16th 2023 something incredible happened and this could be one of the greatest wins in crypto history. As most of you will know, Ripple versus SEC is still ongoing and hopefully after reading this article you will finally see that Ripple could potentially win big.
It has been announced that Judge Tors has allowed for the Hinman speech documents to be presented. Ripple argued that they need the chance to present this document to prove that XRP is not an unregistered security and it is a safe crypto currency.
Personally I think we need different laws when it comes to securities on crypto currency as these are so different to old traditional financial securities, not to mention that the laws were introduced in the 1930’s and 1940’s. We have seen massive change in technology and I think the SEC should change the way they do things. What do you think?
Ethereum stated in the Hinman speech that it is not a security, as it acts decentralised like Bitcoin. So, if ETH is not a security, then there will be loads of other crypto currencies out there that are not securities. This is Ripple's argument that will be presented in court, this is very important and could lead to the SEC being beaten by XRP or getting a positive outcome which could set in motion for other crypto currencies to do the same thing.
