Electroneum have always been trying to provide real utility in the value of ETN. To deliver this utility they have been trying to provide a place to earn ETN, a place to spend ETN and places to exchange services for ETN.
Their rewards app (requires a check-in every week) provides a few ETN to each KYC approved user (used to be called Electroneum mobile miner). To many around the world, an extra few dollars to spend can really make a difference.
Electroneum have also launched there AnyTasks platform that allows people to sell their skills and be paid directly to their mobile phones in ETN. That allows users to receive funds for their work without having to have a bank account and miss out on potentially expensive international bank transfers.
Global Top-Ups
Electroneum have been making deals with various companies to enable ETN top-ups of airtime in various networks. The trial period has been working across several countries including: South Africa, Turkey, Brazil, Uganda, Tanzania and Nigeria. This gives users a good opportunity to earn some ETN and have something real to spend it on easily through the app. The idea is to get people used to using cryptocurrency to pay for items and see the utility of ETN.
Having run a successful trial over the last few months across the selected targets, Electroneum have made the big announcement that they are now rolling out the top-up service across 140 countries and across 600 major MNO and MVNO (mobile virtual network operators). This is a massive list and Electroneum promise to expand it even further later.
