Presearch, the decentralized search engine that pays its users to search the web, has just introduced another excellent use case for its native token $PRE. You can now stake your $PRE tokens in order to increase your daily search rewards.

What Is Presearch Search Staking?

Presearch is the only search engine that rewards its users for authentically searching the web. So far, each search gets rewarded with a fixed amount of 0.1 $PRE tokens, and up to 25 daily searches are being rewarded.

You can now increase the rewards for each search by staking your $PRE tokens on the platform. This is another important use case for $PRE tokens besides Keyword Staking and the new AI search feature. 

Search Staking is one more reason to hold $PRE tokens while at the same time increasing the rewards significantly to those who are the biggest economic supporters of Presearch.

The minimum amount to start search staking is 1.000 $PRE tokens, currently worth around $30.

How To Start Search Staking?

Staking $PRE tokens to increase your search rewards is quite simple. As I have 1.000 $PRE tokens in my Presearch account, I can show you how it works.

Let's see how much the search reward increases after I have staked my 1.000 $PRE tokens.

Log in to your Presearch account if you already haven't. Check the menu on the left side and click on "Usage Rewards". Under this tab, you will find the new option "Increase Rewards by Search Staking".

After clicking on the "Increase Rewards by Search Staking" button, a new window will open up that looks like this.

The minimum amount to start staking is 1.000 $PRE tokens which is also the maximum amount that is currently in my account available for staking. I agreed to the terms of use which included the acknowledgement that my rewards can be slashed if I abuse my rewards.

This is a tricky point worth a discussion. What you you think about the fact that staked $PRE tokens can be slashed if Presearch accuses you to abuse the rewards system? I think it is difficult because in the end it is a centralized decision and there is not much that you can do if they decide to slash your stake because they say that you've abused the system, for example by using bots to farm tokens or by performing nonsense searches.

After search staking 1.000 $PRE tokens, my search rewards have been doubled from 0.01 to 0.02 $PRE.
