5 Ways Publish0x Can Level Up - From Wallet Tipping to Boosting Author Rewards

Publish0x has been my go-to platform for sharing and reading amazing Web3 content for over five years now. It has been a game-changer for creators and readers, rewarding both with crypto just for engaging. However, I believe that every platform has room to improve, and I have got some fire ideas to help Publish0x hit the next level in 2025.

One thing that really stuck with me is how cutting the tipping percentage for authors in half a year ago impacted the platform’s creators. Let's talk about that and other ways we can supercharge Publish0x.

If you vibe with these ideas, share this article, and let's get the ball rolling!

1. Tipping Out of Pocket with an Integrated Wallet

Publish0x’s tipping model is awesome as all the tips are free being provided by the platform, but it could be even better. Why not let readers tip creators directly from their own wallets? Imagine being able to send $ETH or any favorite altcoin via the Optimism network straight to the authors who inspire you.

This would have several benefits.First of all, creators get a new revenue stream. Readers would be able to show real appreciation without limits and it could also attract some crypto whales like Marc de Meselman who want to support quality content.

In Web3, decentralization is king. Give us the tools to send some love directly!

2. A “Following” Feed on the Homepage

The homepage is great for discovery, but it is missing a personalized touch. Adding a “Following” section for authors we subscribe to would make it easy to keep up with our favorite writers.

It could also boost engagement by serving users with tailored content and rewarding loyal creators with more visibility.

I believe that this relatively simple tweak would strengthen the Publish0x community and help readers stay in the loop.

3. Gamify the Platform with Quests and Badges

Crypto peeps love gamification. Imagine earning XP points or extra tokens, badges, or even NFT rewards for completing challenges like:

  • Tipping 10 posts in a week.
  • Writing a post that hits 500 views.
  • Sharing content on social media for extra exposure.

Gamification keeps users hooked while adding a fun twist to content creation and engagement. Plus, exclusive NFT rewards could attract collectors and crypto gamers.

4. Empower Creators with Challenges, Analytics, and Fixed Notifications

Creators are the backbone of Publish0x, and empowering them is key to keeping the platform thriving. To truly support content creators, Publish0x needs to focus on making their experience smoother, more rewarding, and engaging. For starters, the broken notification system for comments under posts must be fixed because creators miss out on meaningful interactions with readers when they are not alerted about feedback or discussions sparked by their articles. Bringing back comment notifications would help foster stronger relationships between authors and their audience, making the platform more engaging overall.

Additionally, Publish0x could inject some excitement by launching creative challenges that motivate creators and reward their efforts. Think “Best Article of the Month” contests for the most engaging content, community vote challenges where readers pick their favorites, or niche content challenges focused on hot topics. These challenges would not only encourage high-quality contributions but also create buzz and increase platform activity.

To take it a step further, providing creators with enhanced analytics tools would allow them to grow and refine their strategies. Features like post-performance metrics, reader demographics, and engagement tracking would give authors the insights they need to succeed. Pair that with follow notifications for readers when their favorite creators publish new content, and you’ve got a system that strengthens connections and boosts engagement.

By fixing critical issues like notifications, introducing gamified challenges, and equipping creators with better tools, Publish0x can ensure happy, motivated authors who produce more content. Motivated authors lead to more users and a stronger community overall. It's a win-win.

5. Bring Back the 20% Minimum Tip for Authors

Let's talk about a change Publish0x made last year that really hurt creators: reducing the tipping percentage for authors to 10%. As a long-time user, I’ve seen the impact firsthand: less activity, fewer posts, and a dip in community vibes.

While the change might seem small for readers, it is huge for writers, who are the backbone of Publish0x. The tips had been cut in half.

I believe that restoring the 20% minimum tip for authors would bring back more high-quality, consistent content from creators. It would reward the hard work that makes the platform thrive and reignite the energy and enthusiasm that made Publish0x special.

A little more generosity towards authors goes a long way in keeping the platform alive and kicking.

My Final Conclusion

Publish0x has been a trailblazer in the crypto-content space, but it is time to take things up a notch. From tipping out of pocket to bringing back the 20% minimum for authors, these changes could make Publish0x an even bigger force in the Web3 world.
