Why I am Only Investing In Stocks With Trade Republic But Not In Cryptocurrencies

Trade Republic is one of the most popular brokers that allows you not only to invest in cryptocurrencies but also in stocks, ETFs, and derivatives.

Personally, I only use Trade Republic to invest in stocks but not in cryptocurrencies like Ethereum or Bitcoin. Here is why.

Why I Invest in Stocks With Trade Republic

Personally, most of my investments are in cryptocurrencies. But not only. A small portion of my overall portfolio is also invested in stocks. You can not buy stocks on cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance or Coinbase, instead, you have to use a bank or a mobile broker like Trade Republic

Among all mobile broker apps on the market, Trade Republic is the most popular app, at least in Europe and it is also my favorite mobile broker when it comes to investing in stocks. The sign-up process is fast and you can start investing in stocks right away, also with small amounts. Also, the trading fees for buying and selling stocks are frequently much cheaper on Trade Republic than at your local bank. The process of buying and selling is easy and meaningless because the user interface of the Trade Republic app is very user-friendly and intuitive. This makes Trade Republic the first choice, especially for new investors in the stock market.

Why I Do Not Invest in Cryptocurrencies With Trade Republic

With Trade Republic, you can not only invest in stocks, ETFs, and derivatives but you also have the possibility to invest in over 40 different cryptocurrencies. Personally, I do not use Trade Republic to invest in cryptocurrencies.

In my opinion, the best thing is holding the cryptocurrencies in your wallet, a wallet where you hold the private keys to. For trading, buying, and selling cryptocurrencies, I use real, specialized cryptocurrency exchanges like Binance or Coinbase.

With such a cryptocurrency exchange, I have at least the possibility to withdraw the cryptocurrencies that I have purchased to my own wallet. Trade Republic does not let you withdraw any crypto from its platform. You can only buy and sell crypto on Trade Republic but you can not send it anywhere. It is a pure investment and you will never have the possibility to really own the cryptocurrency by withdrawing it to your own wallet. This is the main reason why I do not trade cryptocurrencies on Trade Republic.

Another reason is this one. Using more than just one platform for all my different investments is also a form of diversification. I am spreading the risks by now carrying all eggs in one basket. I use different platforms for different purposes and also to spread the risks.

If you also like to invest in stocks, you might want to check out Trade Republic yourself. It is a good choice, especially for beginners in stock investing. If you use this link for signing up for a new account, you can get a nice sign-up bonus (Sign-Up Code: gh0dqpmn). To receive the sign-up bonus, you have to sign up using the invitation link, do the KYC and make an initial investment.

Join Trade Republic and receive a sign-up bonus reward!

This sign-up bonus for new users changes frequently but on Trade Republic it is always worth it. Currently, you can get a bonus of 50€ after making an initial investment of 100€ on Trade Republic. This is the best sign-up bonus that you can currently get on the market.

My Final Words

I hope that I could point out why I use Trade Republic only to invest in stocks but not in cryptocurrencies.

I am also interested in what you are doing. Do you also invest in stocks besides cryptocurrencies? Do you also use Trade Republic, will you give it a try, or what platform are you using to invest in stocks? It would be awesome if you would leave a comment.

At the end of my post, I also like to remind you that my intention in this post is to raise your awareness of investing with Trade Republic and my intention is not to replace your own research. However, this article really reflects my own opinion.
