At the beginning of June, ShapeShift introduced the so-called FOX Missions. These FOX Missions are a fun way to participate in the ShapeShift DAO and community while at the same time earning rewards.
Let me explain what ShapeShift is and how you can enter the FOX Missions.
What is ShapeShift?
ShapeShift is probably one of the most underrated projects in the DeFi Space. It is a multi-chain DeFi platform that lets you buy, sell, track, trade, and earn more than 10,000 altcoins from 13 different blockchains.
It is a community-owned and non-custodial open-source platform. Their app is free to use and, in my opinion, superior to most competitors.
ShapeShift also has its own native token with the ticker $FOX.
How To Enter The FOX Missions?
Entering the FOX Missions is quite simple. All you have to do is connect your wallet to app.shapeshift.com and select the first FOX Mission.
Currently, there are three different missions available starting with minting your own FOXatar NFT on the Polygon blockchain. Minting the NFT is absolutely free and gasless. All you need to do is connect your wallet to the Mercle app, name your FOXatar, and click on "mint".
Once you have minted your own FOXatar NFT, you can start upgrading it by completing FOX Missions.
In the next FOX Mission, you can earn up to 19,5 $OP by performing different actions within the app like swapping, bridging, or fiat ramping.
Finally, there are FOX Army Rewards for performing different actions like Tweeting or joining the ShapeShift discord server.
My Final Conclusion
As a ShapeShift early adopter, I was fortunate to receive 100 $FOX tokens through an airdrop at the start of 2020, and an additional 250 $FOX tokens for holding the tokens from the first airdrop. I have been consistently using ShapeShift ever since. In my view, ShapeShift is an exceptional DeFi platform that is often overlooked, due to its well-developed product.
