A well-known concept in games in general is battle passes, where the user usually pays a fee to access the game, and by completing missions accumulates points that allow them to progress through the pass and unlock rewards, with the best rewards usually found near the end. In the next chapter of Sunflower Lands, Chapter 13 Crabs n Traps, the developers will add another way to earn rewards in the game, inspired by battle passes, called Chapter Pass. Chapter Pass
It's worth mentioning that the Chapter Pass will have two tracks, one FREE for all players and one VIP for players who have purchased VIP. In total there will be 40 milestones, each with two prizes, one for each track, and the variety of rewards is quite large. Counting both tracks, there will be 80 rewards, ranging from flower tokens to SFTs. The vast majority of rewards will be event items (floaters) and crab tickets; however, there are some interesting items such as keys and some collectibles.
An interesting detail, and a curiosity, is that the item that would have come in the VIP Box at the beginning of the month was this Walrus Onesie, which is why they placed this item at the beginning of the pass so that all VIP players can get it right away.
When we analyze the flower rewards directly, including both the VIP and Free passes, there will be 32 direct FLOWER tokens, meaning without relying on luck. In addition, there will be 2 Silver Flower Boxes and one Bronze Flower Box, which, considering the worst-case scenario, could contain around 10 flowers in the bronze box and around 20 flowers in the silver box. Thus, the player should earn a total of 82 to 100 Flowers upon completing all the points in the pass that guarantee these boxes, which at today's rate is around $6 to $8.
As with battle passes, the best Chapter Pass rewards will only be achieved by those who manage to complete the final milestones. The best items are found precisely at the last milestone (40), where the player will receive a Common Peg Egg and an SFT oaken that will give a 25% chance of winning +1 acorn. Getting a pet, even a common one, is not an easy task in Sunflower Lands; the first option requires a lot of gold, and the other is accumulating a large amount of Love Points, and this time players will have the opportunity to win them in the pass.
Stella’s Megastore Changes
Speaking of items at the beginning of the chapter pass, for those who will actively participate in the chapter by making deliveries and missions, it is important to get the +1 Floater item from the pass, which is the Fish Hook Hat, as quickly as possible. This is a very important topic to analyze because in this season the mechanics of the Stella’s Store items will be different; there will no longer be a level system, and the player will be able to Buy the mega items directly, which will cost 3000 floaters of Poseidon's Throne monument and 6000 floaters each, the other two items being Crimstone Clam and Corn Silk Hair.
In addition, players can buy two other +1 bonus items in the shop, the first costing 50 flowers and the second 100 flowers, so for those interested it's good to start analyzing whether or not it's worth participating in the season right at the beginning to take advantage of the buffs. Players will have to carefully consider whether having these items will make a difference, whether they will prefer to participate in this season or another, whether they will be able to make all the deliveries and gather the amount of floaters.
It's worth remembering that unlike other chapters, this one will have several ways to participate: Megastore, Chapter Pass and Auction. The path to get the mega item is simpler and the rewards from the chapter pass seem interesting and the amount of flowers is quite significant, but as it is the first chapter with a chapter pass, nobody knows how difficult it will be to achieve all the milestones.
