[ENGLISH VERSION]
Inaugural Land Card Edition Detail
ย
ย
The post about the Inaugural Land Card Edition brought a very relevant expansion to how the gameplay will work from now on. New mechanics will be included in the game, such as Labor's Luck and a system for burning cards, new cards that will bring abilities capable of affecting the production of lands (being Land cards), and a new way to use the resources of the land ecosystem, precisely to craft this new type of card that is coming to Splinterlands with this update.
Initially, the Splinterlands team, as usual, will be adding new cards in a more restrained way, with only 4 card rarities: common, rare, epic, and legendary, with just one card in each of these categories. This will allow them to gather player feedback on a smaller scale for the future larger release of Land Card Sets. These cards will provide an idea of player interest, how many cards will be minted, and which rarities are most sought after.
ย
ย
It will still be possible to see the impact that the new abilities will have on the ecosystem so that, if necessary, a possible update, either increasing or decreasing the abilities, can be made. This strategy will provide the necessary tools for the team responsible for Splinterlands to make the best decision for the future of this new type of card in a future release. One point that wasn't very clear was the issue of allocation rights, which was for those who staked the lands and a proportional percentage that wasn't clear what it would be based on, but in any case, this allocation will be for the first 3 days, and then it will be free for other players.
Card Crafting in Lands x Impacts
ย
ย
I believe the big news in this lands update is the addition of exclusive land cards, the Land Cards. Initially there will only be 4 rarities with one card each, with the following mint values: common 100k, rare 18k, epic 6k and legendary 1k.
ย
ย
Land cards will have a major impact on the overall economy of Splinterlands because crafting them will require land resources, such as 20k gran to make a common, 30k to make a rare, 7500 aura / 15k stone / 50k grain to make an epic, and 50k aura and 40k iron to make a legendary. This will create a new demand for these land-produced resources. Furthermore, there will be even more demand for the lands themselves as resources become scarce.
ย
ย
However, in addition to these land resources, it will also be necessary to use a new resource called Cinder, which can only be obtained by burning unlocked cards, that is, cards that are not soulbound. This new mechanism for obtaining cinder is a way to make Splinterlands cards deflate over time, because they will have to be burned to obtain cinder at a ratio of 1.5 x the card's CP, which I believe is its burn value in DEC.
This mechanism will cause players interested in Land Cards to seek out cards with the best cost-to-cinder ratio, which will generally be cheaper cards, as in the case of Chaos Legion. In this way, we can see demand for cards that were previously overlooked but offer good value for money.
New Land Card Abilities!
ย
ย
These Land cards will have some abilities that impact the lands themselves: Bountiful, Toil and Kin, Dark Discount, Energized, Rationing, Laborโs Luck. Among them, the Dark Discount ability can be useful for beginner players because it reduces the amount of DEC needed for the Stake for the land to reach 100% efficiency. Another interesting one is Bountiful, which gives a production bonus for a specific resource.
ย
ย
However, the most innovative ability related to the new "treasure" discovery mechanism is Labor's Luck. It will increase the chance of finding a card when collecting from a Land. Overall, this new feature will be a new way for land owners to gain extra resources, but it depends on luck.
