Big news ended up being shared in an official Splinterlands post on October 9th! The Splinterlands team announced all the details on how the new Conclave Arcana rewards set will work, arriving at the Glint Shop with 43 new cards. It is worth mentioning that there is a great note in the text about the possibility of making future changes to several parameters if necessary.
However, even though there may be changes, due to the importance of the subject, I believe it is an interesting topic to discuss and share with the Splinterlands community so that everyone has an initial idea of what is to come. We will comment on possible changes to chest probabilities, changes to gold foils and much more. Come and discover all the news! Spoiler, we will have a new item added to chests that could make a big difference!
I'll be much appreaciated if you Upvote, Reblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
[ENGLISH VERSION]
New Reward Set - Arcane Conclave
Starting with an overview of this future Arcane Conclave collection of reward cards that is coming to the Glint Shop, it will feature 43 new cards, 12 Common, 12 Rare, 7 Epic and 12 Legendary. One of the main changes is that the Gold and Black Foil versions are now transferable and tradable and no longer soulbound like the normal rarities. Another detail is that these cards will not have Production Power, which represents a big difference to the other collections, since their use will be more focused on battles, while the collections before this one have the use of Production Power for lands.
Additionally, the system for unlocking reward cards itself will be changed with the addition of Unbinding Scrolls to reward chests. Now, instead of needing to spend DEC, which was generally not worth it because the cost was very high, the player can use Unbinding Scrolls to unlock soulbound cards, remembering that there is a type of scroll for each rarity. Even though the DEC option still continues, with the purchase of Scrolls for 5x the card's collection power, you will now be able to find them in reward chests, craft them using resources in the craftsman's land with Aura or buy them directly from other players.
One detail is that the higher the rarity of the chests, the greater the chances of getting more scrolls and the greater the chances of getting higher rarity scrolls. For those who want to unlock their common and rare cards, perhaps lower rarity chests could be better options.
Card Draws Update
In addition to the changes to the card unlocking system, we will have a major change in the way cards and chests are obtained. Among the biggest changes is the end of Gold Foil Draws, and now Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary Draws will have a 1% chance of getting a Gold Foil card, remembering that you can use alchemy potions to double your chances.
The costs of draws will also be changed, basically double the price now that gold foils have been added to the odds. On the one hand, this will end up making it more difficult to get cards of specific rarities, but on the other hand, it will bring back that chance of getting a big jackpot on cards, with the chance of a Gold Foil coming in the Draws.
Still regarding the Conclave Arcana Reward cards, a major change will be added, which is the implementation of a limit on the number of Gold Foil cards, thus ensuring that the number of cards does not end up being “overprinted”, which means that once the card limit for each version (Common 5000; Rare 2000; Epic 1200; Legendary 400) is reached, this card will no longer be possible to be minted. as a reward from draws or loot chests.
This change will ensure that gold foil cards have a certain exclusivity that can help maintain their value in the marketplace, as demand will always exist for a strong card with bonuses like Gold Foils, but supply will be limited.
I believe that the quantities of some rarities are very easy to reach, because some gold foil cards from the rebellion rewards collection passed this limit a long time ago. For example, the Halaran Huntress, which is of common rarity, already has almost 15 thousand copies created, that is, 3x more than the future limit of common gold foil reward cards from the Arcane Conclave.
Loot Chest Update
Finally, we will have changes to Loot Chests. Above we have the current chests, minor, major and ultimate with their respective costs in Glint 200, 1000 and 4500. If the update continues with the published data, the costs of the chests will be more than doubled, with the minor chest costing 500 glint, the major 2500 and the Ultimate 1000 glint tokens. However, changes to droprates will be implemented, which may justify the increase in glint costs. Now they will have the Unbind Scrolls, the card odds have basically gone up from 33% to 39%. Finally, perhaps one of the biggest changes is that the Jackpot will increase to 0.01% for minor chests, 0.10% for major chests and 1% for ultimate chests.
