What were the requirements to mine?

It's interesting to understand first that what motivated this sudden change were the previous requirements, which much of the community found very prohibitive. Previously, to mine the Crystal or CROM token, the player needed to achieve a minimum of 30,000 power. Keep in mind that more MMORPGs are about to arrive, so it wouldn't be desirable for this one to take so long to progress, as it could cause a migration.

This value seemed almost impossible, unless people were very lucky or sought to improve their character in other ways. In any case, it would be very difficult and would also require a long period of play to reach this level, and there was still the possibility of the player getting stuck halfway through with no way to increase their power, because there would be no more power to gain.

Changes to CROM/CRYSTAL Minting Requirements

Due to this difficulty in minting tokens, Golden Age ROM players and content creators began complaining, expressing their dissatisfaction with the excessive requirements. According to the game's developer, this led them to rethink the requirements, reducing the minimum combat power from 30,000 to 20,000 and the minimum level for exchanging Crystal and Chrom tokens from 60 to 40.

This means that almost every player who managed to level up from the start of the game by completing missions that reward a lot of XP can now mint tokens. Regarding the minting, the team also increased the minting capacity by 100 tokens, meaning there are no restrictions, as it's a fairly large amount.

However, while this change in requirements allowed players to mine the token, since no one expected them to change the requirements so soon, it turned out that few had the diamonds necessary to mine the token. Even so, as soon as the token was authorized for minting, anyone with diamonds to mint seemed to have done so, causing the CROM token to drop more than 30% in one day, dropping from $1.90 to nearly $1 within a few days.
