There is talk of the regulators trying to kill crypto having an ace up their sleeve. Apparently, they can call in the bill on Tether — the USDT stablecoin — at any time. Tether is under scrutiny for basically doing what the Federal Reserve does, print money indiscriminately and with 0 backing.
The only difference is the imps who own the Fed have thousands of idiots with big guns and drones protecting their indiscriminate printing. So they never get held accountable for it. Not to mention the Fed is probably jealous that someone has a better money printer than they do.
So you can bet this cabal of dumbasses is going to try taking down crypto through a Tether lawsuit. But it won't work.
Granted, it will cause a short term dump. The idiot normies making their way into crypto right now don't understand it fully, so anything that shakes the gears even a little bit will cause them to drop out. Weak hands.
Once everybody sees that the system is still working fine, however, they'll come back. And the people who bought the dip will be handsomely rewarded.
The time to take out Tether was 2017. Now there are multiple stablecoins, including algorithmic stablecoins that have their code as backing (they suck now, but hopefully they'll get better). People who have been through hacks like Parsiq and bZx know that there are solutions available for systemic shocks. The real value of the crypto space is the intellectual capital we have over here, which far outpaces that in government. Properly motivated, the people building the infrastructure here can frontrun anything that government can think of.
So have faith in the brains and the tech. Don't fear government. Look at it this way — the fear they cause in dumb people give you more chances to snatch up crypto at low prices.
