Masq is the web3 browser that makes accessing all crypto narratives easy

Taking the Masq Off Web3

The one place that every important web3 narrative can come together is through a browser. Case in point: You wouldn't be able to access any web3 narrative of AI, gaming, privacy L1, sharded L2, whatever, if not for the Firefox or Chrome browser you access the Internet through.

The problem is none of the browsers you all know — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave, none of them — actually adhere to web3 values or conveniently connect you to web3 outlets. This is a huge adoption bottleneck, as the view of web3 from a web2 perspective is all normies see right now.

Fortunately there is a better experience available on Masq, an experience that starts from a truly web3 native browser. It's not perfect, but it's good enough to make one of your main browsing experiences. (Definitely good enough to replace your Chrome, which is spying on you constantly)

Masq Features

I say Masq is a web3 native browser because it presents up front everything a true web3 aficionado would look for:

1️⃣ Auto VPN — multihop VPN to...masq 😂 your whereabouts
2️⃣ DePIN — use $MASQ tokens to pay for data and one-switch-on your node to earn $MASQ by providing bandwidth
3️⃣ Wallet integration — integrating a web3 wallet is done automatically on startup with plenty of help for noobs
4️⃣ Web3 prioritisation — just as Apple prioritises Apple Music and Apple Store visibility, Masq prioritises visibility of top web3 apps
5️⃣ Sleek UI — really makes you feel like you're in a futuristic browser

A few things could be improved, like the wallet doesn't always pop up when it needs to be signed; sometimes your multihop VPN ends up in a place you don't want and it's a hassle to change; some other important features just aren't live yet.

But compared to the vapor I've seen from other projects at much higher market caps, the Masq team is to be commended for working to create something that actually does shit.

$MASQ

The $MASQ token is the utility through which you pay for bandwidth and receive payment for allowing the use of your bandwidth as a node to stabilize the DePIN system powering the Masq network. The DePIN system is similar to another project I like, Mysterium.

With a working browser and DePIN network, $MASQ sits at a market cap below $10M while AI projects putting out shit Dall-E was doing 9 months ago sit at $100M. Opportunity is what I see. And I do realize mcap is way more about marketing than about product, but that's only if you're thinking in short term bull market terms. I'm trying to cash out like all of you this bull run, but I'm also putting together the portfolio of what I'll be supporting after the tide goes out. Unlike you, I actually am here for the tech.

With almost all of the $MASQ tokens in circulation, you don't have to worry about VCs dumping on you either. As far as I know, there aren't plans for any goofy 124% APY staking programs inflating the float and diluting you, so you're safe there. Just a good old fashioned sustainable system of payments and receipts for using and providing data.

The Future

Web3 will never be web3 until it looses itself from the shackles of web2. Any project that claims web3 but requires hooking up your Twitter account to participate isn't web3. It's owned by Elon Musk and it's as web2 as it can possibly be.

In the same way, claiming to hold your data sovereign and privatize your online experience while on Google Chrome is just as stupid. Moving your entire tech stack over to web3 isn't easy, but the process must be done for those who respect their own privacy and sovereignty. Masq is a step in the right direction, and at this mcap, it could be a profitable step as well.
