This tutorial will describe how to safely and manually force a Metamask update on Chrome. Go only to official Metamask.io website and see the current latest version of Metamask. As of shooting this video latest Metamask version was 10.14.6. My Metamask only had 10.14.4. My Metamask wallet did not work on Balancer. I am getting Metamask Failed because EIP-1559 Not Enabled. It was keep failing transactions even with proper gas fees. I notice Metamask version was not up to date. Only update Metamask from official site. There are lots of Metamask scammers who trying to steal your Metamask private keys so that they can steal your funds. Do not trust Google ads hits on Metamask because scammers are advertising on Google. Again, only go to official Metamask.io website for updates.

Next, I will show you how to manually update Metamask on Chrome safely step by step:
1) Open your Chrome browser and right extension icon on toolbar. Click Metamask icon.
2) Select Manage extensions.
3) Extension page opens in your browser.
4) In the extension page, toggle on the Developer mode feature.
5) Click the Update button. It take few minutes for to update to latest version.

Metamask will update to the latest version. You're done. It is very similar if you want to Upgrade on Firefox, Brave, and Edge browsers as well.
