MyAlgo allows you and only you have access to your accounts and data. MyAlgo passwords and keys are stored locally in your browser. MyAlgo allows to create and import multisignature accounts that allows you to maximize security at Institution security level along with Ledger Hardware wallet.
During MyAlgo wallet It will give following disclaimer.
By accessing your wallet through MyAlgo.com you do not create an account or give MyAlgo website your funds to hold onto. No data leaves your computer or browser. MyAlgo make it easy for you to create, save, and access your information and interact with the blockchain.
Caution, using the web wallet in incognito mode will require you to go through the process again. Make sure to back up your mnemonic phrase and private keys.

When you click on Add Account, It supports Ledger Nano Hardware wallet. I love the fact Ledger Nano has a app for Ledger Nano where you can store Algoran directly in Ledger without storing any private keys on Computer but in a Hardware wallet. In this screen there is the option for New Account to create a new randomly generated account. You can also import account provide the mnemonic phrase. You can follow the balance and transaction of any public address. There is very cool option for New Multisignature Account. You can also import Multisignature Account with shared secret.
Tips on keeping your Mnemonic Phrase secure:
DO NOT keep the list of words on a computer, write them down physically on paper.
Write them down again in a different paper and keep them in separate locations.
Double and triple check your words, make sure the spelling is 100% perfect. Double check again.
The order of the words is as important. The mnemonic phrase will NOT work if you have the order sequence wrong.
Avoid typing the phrase in any internet connected device.
Only use them for recovery purposes, never use frequently as your main method of access to your account.
Break your mnemonic phrase into three parts, write down each part into a separate physical paper and distribute them in different places and make sure to create backups of each.
Use new Chromebooks or computers with Chrome OS or Windows S when handling your mnemonic phrases. These computers are more secure than their counterparts as malicious softwares cannot be installed on them.
Again, always double-check the order and spelling of all words.
Under Add accounts on the Left, you can add as my Algoran accounts as needed.
Algorand Multisig Accounts
A multisignature account or multisig, is an account that requires 2 or more private keys to sign transactions. In Algorand, multisig technology is natively supported and allows for a variety of uses. In a normal account, a single signature is required to spend from it whereas in an Algorand multisignature account a combination of signatures from different accounts are required before a valid transaction can be created.
Any multisignature setup can be created. You could have a 2-of-2, or a 2-of-10, or 5-of-7, or any other setup you can think of. By combining different accounts to approve transactions, one can accomplish a variety of things requiring different layers of security. This is especially relevant in corporate settings, where large amounts of funds are stored in reserve accounts and approval from 2 or more authorized parties must be received to authorize withdrawals.
Here are the steps to creat Multisignature account
1. Click On Add Account on the left side menu
2. Click the New Multisignature Account box.
3. On the left section, select the setup configuration you wish to have for your multisig account. In this example, we create a 2-of-2 multisig meaning that 2 signatures out of a total 2 signing accounts are needed to approve transactions.
4. Select which of your accounts in MyAlgo you wish to set as one of the signers and then paste or select from the address book the public addresses of the other signing accounts that will form part of this multisig account.
5. Once you have filled all the public addresses of the other signing accounts, click the “Create N-of-M Account” button.
6. Review that the configuration and public addresses are correct, input your MyAlgo password and then click the “Create N-of-M Account” button.
7. You have now created an Algorand multisig account. You will find the address of your multisig account as well as the Shared Secret that you will need to share with the other signers so that they can import the multisig account in their own MyAlgo wallet.
How to import an Algorand multisig account
To import an Algorand multisig account, in your MyAlgo wallet dashboard:
1. Click On Add Account on the left side menu
2. Click On Import Multisignature Account box
3. Paste the Shared Secret that the initial creator of the multisig gave you. The Shared Secret is available just after finishing the creation process of the multisig account.
You can also use the camera or upload an image to scan or import the QR code accordingly.
3.1 Additionally, the initial creator of the multisig account can find the Shared Secret by clicking the Settingsettings button of the multisig account on the left menu and then clicking on Share Account.
How to send and sign an Algorand multisig transaction
To create and send a multisig transaction with your Algorand multisig account after you have funded it:
1. Select the Multisig account you wish to transact with and then click on Send
2. Input the amount of funds that you wish to send. You can also choose another asset to send. Paste the destination address where you wish to send the funds to and click Continue.
2.1 Additionally, in the Advanced Transaction drop-down section you can configure your multisig transaction to be sent at a later point in time. That way, if you need enough time to collect all signatures you can schedule the transaction to be sent at a later time in the future. To do so, just go to the Valid Period section in the Advanced Transaction. drop down. Click on the Select Date & Time button and pick your desired time and day you wish the transaction to be broadcasted to the Algorand network. Click on Schedule Transaction and then click continue.
2.1.1 If you know the future Rounds you want your transaction to be valid for, click on the Icon Multisig icon and input the Round you want to broadcast your transaction to the network.
3. Review the information and then input your MyAlgo password and click Sign. A Multisig Transaction success message will appear. Let your cosigners know that the transaction is ready and that they can now go into their MyAlgo dashboard to sign the multisig transaction that will appear there.
4. A multisignature transaction request will appear in your cosigners’ MyAlgo dashboard with a notification. In their dashboard open the cosigner’s account that needs to sign the multisig transaction that you created. Click on the Signature Request button in the Transaction.
5. Review the information of the Multisignature transaction, input the password and click Sign.
If you are signing with a Ledger Nano device, make sure it is properly connected to the computer, unlocked, and with the Algorand App open in order to sign the transaction in your Ledger.
6. If there are more cosigner’s repeat the process for the rest of the signers. Once the last signature is collected, the transaction will automatically be broadcasted to the Algorand network.
Buying Algoran from Coinbase
I will show you how to buy Algoran Tokens from Coinbase. I have few USDC. I am going to use it to buy Algoran tokens. You can connect your Bank Account to Coinbase and buy USDC without any fees. You can use USDC to buy Algoran tokens without any fees. I tried using the Coinbase convert function to purchase Algoran from USDC I have. Coinbase convert function is charging me $0.99 to purchase small amount of Algoran. Now, I am going to switch to Algo-USDC trading pair to purchase Algoran tokens. I click on Trade tab on the left. Coinbase Trade does not charge trading fee to buy from Algo-USDC trading pair. I used my Coinbase account to buy $2 worth of Algoran tokens.
In Summary
It was much ealier to setup the MyAlgo Wallet. wallet.myalgo.com is much easy to setup it. You can use MyAlgo wallet and connect to Algoran Dex like Algofi, Tinyman, Pact, Humble Defi, and Algodex. I will have a detail video of Tinyman DEX on Algoran on the top and bottom links. Algoran due to its' technology it will be poised for 10X on next bull market in crypto from the current price of $0.17. Algoran future potential all depends on Algoran fundations backing and how many quality project they can attract to the chain. As a Layer 1 and Algorand’s Compatibility with Ethereum will make it almost valuable like Polygon is to Ethereum.
