The Splot Weekly Art Challenge #16: Hybrid Beasts

As some of my readers may already know, I've switched from using Noise.app (which is so quiet that it might as well be dead) to Tangled (see my referrer link in the "Resources" section). So far, it's going pretty well, I feel. I've already earned about $0.12 worth of Millix (MLX) in my first week. I've also spent a fair amount as well. (The cost of posting is ~10 000 MLX, which works out to be a little less than $0.01.) The only downside is that the Tangled browser is based on Chromium, so it's about as slow and non-responsive as a sloth in Winter.

@HattyHats deserves a shout-out for persuading me to join Tangled.

Today, I happened across an NFT competition for "hybrid beasts" NFTs. The idea is to create an NFT on splot.io and post the URLs on tangled, with the hashtag #hybridBeasts. Now, having looked for ages for a platform/Website that allows me to host my artwork (both images and audio/video), I might well have found it, unexpectedly, in splot. The downside is that I'll need to be a great deal more active on Tangled/On the Node in order to rack up enough Millix (~20 000 000 for 15 credits @ 2 credits per NFT minted) to purchase enough credits to be able to post all my creations, both auditory and visual.

If you are also looking for another platform for posting content and creating NFTs, respectively, I strongly suggest you join Tangled and Splot.

On that note, I'm off to dig through my archives to see if I have anything I haven't posted here that I can publish to On the Node.
