Gemini Exchange introduces Polygon Staking

Gemini Announces New Polygon Staking Feature

Today (2022/08/19), I received a mail from Gemini (through which my Brave wallet is verified, despite Brave having removed support for African countries). In it, there is a link to a post on Gemini's blog, which announces that the company's Website now makes it possible for account holders residing in certain countries to stake Polygon (MATIC):

"We are pleased to announce the launch of Gemini Staking, which allows you to seamlessly receive staking rewards in your Gemini account. As of today, you can start staking MATIC on the Polygon network. Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT), and Audius (AUDIO) support will be launched soon.

Gemini Staking is available to users across the United States (excluding New York), Singapore, and Hong Kong."

Well, that's not very useful to me, seeing as I don't live in those countries. Here's hoping that they expand the list to include South Africa, since that's definitely something of which I'd make use. For now, though, it looks like I'll have to stick to QuickSwap.

The blog post goes on to provide a quick overview of what staking is, how to stake with Gemini and what the company is offering to those account holders who make use of this new feature.

Please note: I am not associated with Gemini and I have not been paid a commission to write this post.
