Today, I received an email from the Luno exchange, which I sometimes use for receiving and exchanging Bitcoin Cash (BCH) on the rare occasions when I receive it, like I did today.
Here's the content of the "announcement/update" email I received:
"This new fee structure has been designed to reward those who trade larger volumes of cryptocurrency, providing preferential rates and industry-leading rebates for top traders while ensuring rates for other tiers remain competitive in line with global pricing.
Luno periodically carries out a thorough review of our exchange and pricing alongside our traders. All fee updates are shared prior to being implemented.
We will be introducing a number of new features to the Luno Exchange in the coming months that we’re excited for you to try. Stay tuned."
I'm generally happy with the service I've received and the Luno exchange in general. I've certainly got no complaints. I do have to wonder, though, what's the point of sending me an email, with only three paltry paragraphs that tell me nothing, to state you're going to do something if you don't bother to actually state what it is you're going to do? Either tell me up front so I can decide if I'm OK with it, or just fucking do it and present it as fait accompli so I can decide if I like it or am going to get pissed off and decide to stop using the service. Otherwise, you're wasting my time, you frigging Luno-ticks! Also, define "larger". Larger than what, exactly, two squirts of rat piss? Enough BCH to buy a small potato from a street vendor in the Philippines, enough Bitcoin to buy a clown mask for Gary Gensler, half a million Bitcoin, what?
Some actual info on which to report or make a decision would be good, you know? Clearly, that's too much to ask ...
In what might constitute actual and quantifiable news (depending on your perspective), I now have over 375 followers, which is pretty cool. Thank you for your support! 😁
This non-report of a post has been brought to you by the general annoyance of having not cleared my email inbox today and generally incompetent tech support staff sending me pointless emails (including ones containing badly-formatted HTML to an inbox that's set to only display plain text). These are not the droids for which I am looking. Move along, move along!
