Gas-Free Stablecoin

Gas-Free Stablecoin

Good day everybody,

Welcome to CryptoGod-1’s blog on all things crypto. In this post I will be looking at how Justin Sun has revealed his intentions to create a gas free stablecoin, meaning free peer-to-peer transactions.

Gas-Free Stablecoin

The cryptocurrency billionaire and founder of Tron (TRX) Justin Sun has announced plans to launch a gas-free stablecoin. He aims to complete this before the end of this year, and it should create a solution which allows peer-to-peer transfers without the need for gas tokens. This would mean the transactions would be completely free for users.

No information regarding how the mechanics of the stablecoin would function have been released as of yet, but Sun intends to integrate it on the Tron blockchain by the fourth quarter of this year. In a post on 'X' he stated:

“Our team is developing a new solution that enables gas-free stablecoin transfers. In other words, transfers can be made without paying any gas tokens, with the fees being entirely covered by the stablecoins themselves.”

Once the stablecoin has been integrated on the Tron Network, Sun plans to expand its availability to Ethereum and other Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible public chains. He believes a gas-free stablecoin would potentially revolutionise the way companies can offer stablecoin services. The transaction fees would be covered with the stablecoins themselves in a vision where stablecoins are more more accessible and widespread, along with the adoption of blockchain technology.

Tron is currently seen as the dominant network for the peer-to-peer stablecoin transfer market and it processing two to three times more volume than its closest competitor, Ethereum. With the upcoming introduction of Tron’s gas-free stablecoin solution, it could provide competition for existing offerings such as PayPal’s PYUSD, which enables certain US users to make cross-border payments without fees.

Circle’s USD Coin on Ethereum’s layer 2 Base, via Coinbase Wallet, already allows for free transfers. However both Circle and Binance recently discontinued their support for USDC on Tron, and this may have been a motivating factor in Tron developing its own solution for a gas-free stablecoin.

Have a great day.

Peace. CryptoGod-1.
