I hope you are all well and have had an excellent start to the week, welcome to CryptoGod-1's blog on all things sports. Today I will be doing a recap on the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Draw, along with a revision from my original Champions League 2022/23 Prediction

Round of 16 Draw

RB Leipzig vs Man City

Club Brugge vs Benfica

Liverpool vs Real Madrid

AC Milan vs Tottenham

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Napoli

Borussia Dortmund vs Chelsea

Inter Milan vs Porto

PSG vs Bayern Munich

The seeded teams, as in the group winners, will play away first, giving them home advantage in the second leg. Similar to last season, the away goals rule has been abolished. The first leg games will take place on February 14-15, and February 21-22 in 2023, while the return legs will be played on March 7-8 and March 14-15.

Predictions

Now that we know who will face off in the Round of 16, I will make my predictions of who I think will progress from that into the Quarter Finals.

Once the teams progress to the Quarter Final it is a free for all in the draw, meaning clubs from the same nation are able to face each other. With the Round of 16 now confirmed I will redo my previous predictions of who I believe will reach the Semi Finals, and who will win the Final in 2023 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

Knowing that my previous prediction is impossible now that Liverpool will face Real Madrid in the Round of 16, below I will update my prediction on who will be the final four teams in this years competition.

Who will win the competition?

Previously I backed Liverpool to win the competition, as they have been such a mainstay in previous seasons. Interestingly, while their domestic form has been up and down, they were quite solid in their group games bar the opening one away to Napoli. I put that down to the fact Napoli were the unknown entity this season and I don't think anybody expected them to be unbeaten in all competitions until they travelled to Anfield for the final group game. Having already beaten Man City at home and Spurs away this year, I think Liverpool have that something special about them. Klopp will be determined to amend that fact they look out of the title race by pushing for the other huge piece of silverware on offer. Assuming none of the above four get knocked out on the way, I can see them being in the Semi Finals with Liverpool potentially playing any of them in the Ataturk Olympic Stadium. If they do get knocked out along the way then my next favourite to win would be Bayern Munich, followed by Man City.
