Bridges Between Hive and Hive-Engine: How Many of Them Do You Know?

In recent weeks, I’ve developed a strong interest in the bridges connecting Hive and Hive-Engine, one of its layer 2 solutions.

Bridges are the means by which it’s possible to move a token from one chain to another or, as in this case, from one layer to another.

The way a bridge works is usually quite simple: you send a token (e.g., HIVE) to the bridge, and it transfers another token to you in return (e.g., SWAP.HIVE).

The crucial aspect is that the token sent and the one received belong to two different chains or layers, and the bridge enables communication between those chains/layers.

In the case of Hive and Hive-Engine, this can be useful, for example, to purchase SPS using the earnings from a post, or to convert a tribal token you’re not interested in into HIVE.

Bridges are therefore essential, and it’s useful to know as much about them as possible.

This is not only because having alternatives is always good, but also because not all bridges charge the same fees (some may be more convenient than others) and they don’t all have the same liquidity (one bridge may not have all the HIVE you need, while another does).

That’s why I started digging and decided to collect in this post all the bridges I’ve found that connect Hive and Hive-Engine.

For each bridge, I’ll indicate the name, URL, applied fee, liquidity level (high, medium, low), and the wallet where you can check the currently available liquidity on the bridge.

These are all the bridges between Hive and Hive-Engine that I’ve been able to track down: all of them are active, functional, and reliable.

Each has its advantages depending on the amount of liquidity you want to swap:

• Hive-Engine and Tribaldex have the highest fees, but if you're swapping large amounts of tokens, they're probably your best bet;
• dCrops has very low liquidity, but if that’s enough for you, it offers a fixed and very competitive fee;
• BeeSwap and uSwap have variable fees that may even allow you to profit from the swap.

I know there used to be other active bridges, but to my knowledge, they are no longer operational—aside from the ones listed above...

Still, five is a good number and should cover most needs.

Bridges Tra Hive ed Hive-Engine: Quanti ne Conosci?

Nelle ultime settimane ho sviluppato un forte interesse per i bridge che collegano tra di loro Hive e Hive-Engine, uno dei suoi layer 2.

I bridges sono il mezzo con cui è possibile spostare un token da una chain all'altra o, come in questo caso, da un layer all'altro.

Il funzionamento di un bridge in genere è molto semplice: sia invia un token (es. HIVE) al bridge e questo, in cambio, ci trasferisce un altro token (es. SWAP.HIVE).

L'aspetto cruciale è che il token inviato e quello ricevuto appartengono a due diverse chain o layer ed il bridge consente di mettere queste chain/layer in comunicazione l'una con l'altro.

Nel caso di Hive ed Hive-Engine ciò può essere utile, ad esempio, per acquistare SPS utilizzando il ricavato della pubblicazione di un post, oppure per convertire un tribal token che non ci interessa in HIVE.

I bridges sono perciò fondamentali ed è perciò utile conoscerne il più possibile.

Questo, non solo perchè avere alternative è sempre un bene, ma anche perchè non tutti i bridges applicano le stesse commissioni (qualcuno può essere più conveniente degli altri) e non hanno la stessa liquidità (magari un bridge può non avere tutti gli HIVE che ci servono, mentre un altro sì).

Ecco perchè mi sono messo a cercare un po' ed ho deciso di raccogliere in questo post tutti i bridges che ho trovato e che collegano tra di loro Hive ed Hive-Engine.

Di ogni bridge indicherò il nome, l'url, la commissione applicata, il livello di liquidità (alto, medio, basso) ed il wallet su cui verificare la liquidità in quel momento disponibile sul bridge.

Questi sono tutti i bridge tra Hive ed Hive-Engine che sono riuscito a rintracciare: sono tutti attivi, funzionanti ed affidabili.

Ognuno ha i suoi vantaggi, a seconda della liquidità che si vuole scambiare:

• Hive-Engine e Tribaldex hanno le commissioni più elevate, ma se avete grosse quantità di token da scambiare sono probabilmente il sistema migliore;
• dCrops ha pochissima liquidità, ma se vi basta ha una commissione fissa e molto competitiva;
• BeeSwap e uSwap hanno commissioni variabili che possono anche consentirvi di guadagnare dallo swap.

So che un tempo c'erano anche altri bridges attivi, ma oggi mi risultano tutti inattivi, a parte quelli sopra elencati...

I 5 attuali sono comunque un ottimo numero, sufficiente a soddisfare un po' tutte le esigenze.

Non escludo però che possa esserci qualche altro bridge che mi sia sfuggito... per cui se ne conoscete altri, scrivetemelo nei commenti e lo aggiungerò subito a questo post :) grazie!
