That Binance intends to encourage the adoption of bitcoins by simplifying the exchanges from fiat to crypto, and vice versa, we have already known this for several months, what we did not expect was that the exchange would come to offer sterling and euro deposits so soon; already, because as announced today, thanks to a strategic partnership with Banxa, binance will be able to offer its users the possibility to deposit directly in Australian dollars and euros.
This is surprising because the European institutions are notoriously not particularly friendly towards cryptocurrencies and the compliance rules in Europe are rather strict; binance has however managed to offer this important service to its users even if the possibility of depositing directly in Euro will depend on the country of residence of the individual trader.
This new announcement, then, follows closely that made yesterday with which binance confirmed the start of support for deposits in Thai baht through a partnership with the API solution provider Satang Corp and the creation of a fiat gateway for the zloty Polish and the Swedish crown; therefore, once the decision to open up to fiat currencies has been made, the platform is moving with the usual speed at which it had accustomed us to respect the expectations generated in the traders.
After all, it was Changpeng Zhao himself who communicated in the past few months that Binance was planning to add support for "all 180 legal currencies" during 2020, which initially, I admit, I had struggled to take seriously, since we are talking about an important step for the exchange; however, given how the platform moved in this first week of 2020, evidently CZ was not joking or exaggerating in any way when, some time ago, he made that announcement.
Meanwhile, the binance department dedicated to charity has announced that it intends to allocate $ 1 million to help Australia deal with the devastating fires that have been tormenting it for weeks now and has started a fundraiser that it has already collected, with just under 20 donations, something like 1250BTC (about 100 thousand dollars at the current exchange rate); binance, to conclude, therefore continues its growth program at a fast pace, dividing between technological developments, support for fiat currencies and charities, thus increasing its popularity not only within the community of cryptocurrency enthusiasts but also outside of it, yet, for now, restricted niche.
