Waves is one of the most interesting projects in the blockchain ecosystem and, also, one of the best long-term investments; yesterday Sasha Ivanov, founder CEO of waves, presented a new project, Gravity Hub, which has no native currency attached but whose purpose is to facilitate the interoperability of the various blockchains during the Berlin meetup. Ivanov himself declared, during yesterday's appointment, that:
The inability to share information across different blockchain networks, without restrictions, has been a major obstacle to the development of this sector. The problem must be faced in one way or another, because we see that the various projects are developed within individual societies, individual ecosystems in which no form of interaction is possible. Blockchain interoperability makes mass adoption possible and allows the industry to evolve further.
One of the most interesting aspects of the interoperability introduced by Gravity Hub concerns the Dapp market which, thanks to this new project, will make it possible to interact with decentralized applications built on different platforms. From a purely technological point of view, therefore, Gravity Hub works by allowing the Waves platform to receive block headers from the Ethereum network; it will also finally be possible to transfer tokens between different blockchains using those that have been defined as "token ports". Furthermore, this new system allows the developers a great flexibility in being able to decide which language to use for their smart contract, which consent protocols to use, the hash function, in a much more elastic manner than is the case today. The market clearly reacted positively to the news, with Waves who scored a big bullish candle (paired with bitcoins) going from a 7270 satoshi to 9268 satoshi in just two hours; the inevitable retracement was followed later, today, by a recovery of the high reached yesterday, so the enthusiasm around Waves at this moment is certainly very high. But be careful because on the 4H chart a jump is perfectly visible so do not rush to buy now because the risk, in the next few hours, is that the market will go to close the jump that was formed yesterday.
