I post about Play to Earn games often yet I don't personally invest much into them unless they offer some form of return. Be it Axie, Bxie or Karastar. A lot of those games that I personally tried turned out to be more expensive as the time goes ahead. Now I never posted about Splinterlands before because I was spending time accumulating the resources.Now I recommend playing the game as it can earn you multiple rewards.
So let's discuss why you should play splineterlands?
Rewards from Game
Initially you'd have to invest 10 USD in order to get started with the ranked games and which requires a spellbook. Once you do that you can use the free to use cards and use them in the ranked matches. As you level up you would earn some rewards which are useful for game progression. You would also need the rewards from the game for building your own token resources. Like you earn DEC and SPS which has a good marketplace returns.
You can even trade those tokens in the Hive engine marketplace. Which could get you the payout in Hive. Which goes to show that act of playing the game earns you decent rewards. Which is something not a lot costly in the long run. On the top of that, compared to other games you are not locked here. You can stake your cards and logout from the game and earn passive resources.
Staking the Cards in Marketplace
Like I said before you can stake your cards in the marketplace. You can put them up for rent per day value based on the DEC. Say your card is of specific level then you can give it for rent on 0.100 DEC per day. Which would be a good value. As you level up you can add more DEC value and the card would be used by others. You can earn some decent DEC value if more of your purchased cards get used by rent.
DEC is basically a token called dark energy crystals which are basically the tokens on hive marketplace. You can use it for paying in the game and also stake it or even use it to convert to the HIVE or the SPS based on how you wish to use the value of itself within the game. I'd recommend you to try out the renting method if you want to try out more passive approach of earning in the game.

Hive community is very much appreciative of the splinterlands updates from the players. There is a tribe frontend named "SplinterTalk". You earn Hive rewards and the SPT token rewards for posting the content specific to the splinterlands. You can also post the content in 1UP community and they too would not mind reading about your journey within the game.
You earn pretty decent rewards overall in the Hive. You just have to play safe and avoid getting in the eyes of the Whales and the cleaner community as they can often detect spam and the arguments which they don't allow much there. But apart from that I feel splinterlands based content is well appreciated there.
