I always wonder when we participate in platforms like stackoverflow, reddit, slack and discord, we don't get paid for our help or content written. And that is where many content blockchains come into the play. In past I have covered LBRY, Uptrennd that are into content monetization for those who regularly create content and wish to monetize it.
Today I want you to check out one more platform named - CENT, which rewards users for their various types of content.
You can check out CENT.

CENT advertises itself as a digital platform for rewarding the creatives. It was released as a prototype test of their own whitepaper in 2017. And since then they are trying to be a sustainable platform to reward content creators.
How does content monetization works?
You create the content like any normal content creator does. And then for each content that gets seeded (read as upvote). You get the CENT token in your account. This token is based on ERC20 which is ether token. So you can use UNISWAP to withdraw your token to ETH. And in the process get rewarded at the end.
What type of content gets rewarded?
That part is hard to say. Considering it is not yet popular like STEEM, HIVE, UPtrennd. You may notice that CENT takes longer time and also different means of attention for rewarding the content being posted over there. Usually opinion pieces like movie review, creative content, and various other content types get rewarded if you know what is being appreciated there.
Is it better than HIVE, STEEM, UPtrennd?
I consider CENT in same boat as UPtrennd only difference being getting upvote from the uptrennd is rather easier than getting seeds from the CENT. Considering the content creators should monetize all their content on various platform and don't stick in one bucket. I'd recommend keeping the tab on CENT too just like any other content platform.
Where to read more about CENT?
You can get help to your CENT specific queries on their reddit subreddit named cent. Alternative keep an eye on their medium blog. But officially they don't have much updates so far and CENT is kind of stuck in beta for long time.
I am just testing out various content platforms out there that rewards in crypto. I'd continue to explore and document any good content platform that can be good for the future of creators on web.
