With the recent surge in NFT, Crypto.com has found a way to offer digital collectibles on its platform through the Crypto.com NFT marketplace. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are digital collectibles that have newly exploded in popularity within the crypto and blockchain space, with many entrepreneurs seizing the opportunity to mint collectible tokens.

Crypto.com DeFi Wallet supports Ethereum-Based NFTs
You can now easily manage your NFT collectibles on Crypto.com DeFi Wallet. Crypto.com DeFi Wallet currently supports ERC721 and ERC1155 NFT tokens, which are minted off the Ethereum network. Support for NFTs on the whole Crypto.org Chain is currently in the works.
To easily view, send, receive and share NFTs, users need to have downloaded the DeFi Wallet V1.12.0 or above. Once that is done, NFTs can be displayed in the DeFi Wallet’s gallery.
Crypto.com DeFi wallet’s NFT archive is designed with the concept of an art gallery in mind, and NFTs can either be displayed in the ‘Spotlight’ or ‘Collection’ section. Favorite pieces can be admired from the Spotlight section while the remaining NFTs can be organized in the Collection category. Through the DeFi Wallet app, users can also share and send NFTs to their family and friends, by simply tapping on the non-fungible token in question.
On top of creating a place to store NFTs within the DeFi wallet, Crypto.com developers are currently working to make the DeFi wallet interoperable with the Crypto.org Chain. That way, users can send and transfer collectibles from the blockchain directly to their digital storage.
Phase 1 of Crypto.org Chain Supports NFTs
In the spirit of enhancing the integration of NFTs, Phase 1 of the Crypto.org blockchain, dubbed “Canis Major,” announced that NFT operations were now supported on the network. The announcement was made when Canis Major went live on June 3. NFT transactions that are supported on the Crypto.org Chain include minting, transferring, and burning.
To celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the Crypto.org Chain, which is an important milestone for Crypto.com, an NFT dubbed “Canis Major: The Beginning” was minted to celebrate the occasion.
What is Crypto.org Chain?
Currently, Crypto.org Chain is still being developed and perfected. Other phases are set to roll out later this year. Crypto.org Chain is a public, open-source, and permissionless blockchain. It is fully decentralized and offers high-speed transactions at a low cost to users. It is designed to be a public blockchain that will facilitate the onboarding of new users. With Crypto.org Chain, accelerated adoption of blockchain technology through use cases such as DeFi, NFTs, and cashless payments is also anticipated.
