What’s the difference? Well I view “getting” into the crypto-sphere as being active in learning constantly about what’s happening, are there new partners, conferences on the horizon, token denomination changes, new tokens, and more! For me that’s most of the fun of being involved in this space, I love following the blockchain developments because I know the world is going to be ran on this technology, even if most of the world doesn’t know it yet. Ok, what’s the alternative, “I don’t care about that, I just want MONEY!!”, ok well sometimes to make money you need money, but if you’re reading this now, you’re still early and there’s plenty of free money in the space.
FREE MONEY?! Yes!
My first recommendation is to install the brave browser. The brave browser is a chromium based browser, meaning it’s basically google chrome, when you install extensions, you still just go to the normal chrome store. Brave is a privacy hardened browser that blocks cross-site fingerprinting, tracking and much more, plus it pays rewards to its users in the form of BAT, basic attention token. BAT is a type of cryptocurrency that is worth about $0.351057 at todays value. Brave pays you in BAT to receive non-intrusive ads a couple times every hour, the maximum number of advertisements you can get an hour (if you set it to the maximum) is 5. So you can make a chunk of change each month just from browsing! I earn enough that it puts my banks’ interest rate to shame, yes I make more browsing the internet than I do keeping money in the bank..

Next up is exchanges, Coinbase is the most beginner friendly site out there for people just wanting to dip their feet into buying and selling crypto, it is super easy to navigate. Additionally, coinbase has a feature called coinbase earn, all you have to do is watch a few 2/3minute videos and answer ¾ questions and you can earn up to $50: (This method is totally free, you don’t need to put in $75) (Unfortunately, if you don't want to support someone by using a ref. link, you won't be able to join coinbase earn from what I understand)

Crypto.com is my FAVOURITE investment, I have TOTALLY stopped using my regular bank, I NEVER use my debit card anymore. Crypto.com is like coinbase, except in my opinion it’s way better because it offers more coins and offers debit cards with great perks. I have the ruby red card which cost an initial deposit of $250, I need to keep that $250 locked up if I want to continue receiving 2% cash back on everything and free spotify premium rebates. So after the lock up period of 180 days, I could take back out my initial deposit , meaning the card is basically free, I don’t plan on doing that though since the cashback is great! If you don’t feel like putting any money into an account you can still receive a plastic debit card (paid cards are steel… nice premium feel) where you’re still entitled to 1% cashback. There’s honestly so much more to say about crypto.com, they have interest rates from 4-18%, it’s a no brainer! What does your savings account offer? 0.001% Or if your lucky 0.01% Some of you might even have NEGATIVE interest rates, scary..
Crypto.com is big in the DeFi space, decentralised finance, you can use it as a bank account and that’s what I do, the only thing I haven’t tried on their platform is the loan feature. I have never taken a non-student loan out in the regular banking industry and I will not be taking one out in DeFi, but this is great for those of you who cannot get a loan from normal lenders because there’s no vetting, you need to put down some crypto and they’ll lock it up as collateral, you can then borrow 2x that amount!

Binance- binance is a great exchange, it has MANY more coins than coinbase AND crypto.com put together, but it isn’t very beginner friendly, there are trading charts and buy and sell orders everywhere, but once you become acquainted with coinbase you may decide you can make more money trading altcoins (coins that aren’t bitcoin) and since Coinbase doesn’t offer many altcoins you’ll have to use binance.
