Cardano, also know as ADA has some much to offer in the crypto space. It has lots of capabilities/potential and the company itself does a lot of humanitarian work which makes it a crypto worth supporting. 

Cardano uses an unique proof-of-stake consensus protocol called Ouroboros. (developed with the Haskell programming language) This allows it to validate transactions without using high energy costs. Cardano claims it has up to four million times more energy efficiency than Bitcoin. And this seems to be a very popular characteristic in the crypto space right now: currencies which don't use ample amounts of energy, resulting in less carbon emissions. Ouroboros allows the decentralization of Cardano's network while keeping it secure. Ouroboros is also the first blockchain protocol based on peer-reviewed research. Along with being secure, the participants using this network receive incentives for their loyalty to it. Ada holders may delegate their stake to a certain stake pool, increasing its chance of being selected as the slot leader, and share in the stake pool’s rewards. Every ADA holder holds a stake in the network. Your ADA can be used in stake pools to earn rewards. This helps with the network running smoothly and successfully. 

Innovation and interoperability are Cardano's goals. So much their native token, ADA, was named after a nineteenth century mathematician, Ada Lovelace. She was recognized as the first programmer. Cardano is trying to solve problems across multiple industries.
