So it all began with my discovery of Publish0x, I started reading articles tipping and accumulating assets, then to reach the withdrawal amounts faster and to earn even more crypto I began to write articles and publish them here on Publish0x. 

At last my first withdrawal process has begun. Though not entirely sure if Coinbase wallet can receive SPOT after some research I decided to go with it and see if it goes through. 

The amount of SPOT that I was withdrawing was approximately 2 equivalent to about 2 dollars. The withdrawal process can take some time, so after seeing that the request was confirmed, I didn’t think much of it just waiting to see if it’ll actually go through. 

Then one morning I open up my Coinbase app and I see this wild wild balance of over 2 billion dollars!! 

Looking further into it, I see that Coinbase is displaying the SPOT that I received as if it was sent without any decimals, leaving it to display as if I received approximately 2 billion SPOT equivalent to over 2 billion dollars. 

I knew there was no way this was true and had to be entirely a display issue, but I had to be certain, so I immediately checked the transaction where it showed that the correct amount was what was sent. 

Then I went on to try and see if it would trade at the display amount which was not the case nor would it send at the display amount, meaning on Coinbase it displayed the transaction as if I sent one billion SPOT but when received in another account it was only 1 SPOT :(

So in summation, I’m fairly certain that I’m not a billionaire, Coinbase definitely had a display issue when it came to SPOT.

Lesson learned Coinbase does not yet have a good working for such a young asset as SPOT and I’m not sure you should send your SPOT there. Though technically the asset will go through and can be exchanged via decentralized exchanges, there might still be a display issue and not knowing the source of it definitely causes concern.
