CFTC and SEC inter-agency conflict over Ethereum begins
Bitcoin and Ethereum were described as commodities by CFTC Chairman Rostin Behnam in his hearing on March 6 before the House Committee on Agriculture.
Behnam has taken issue with Promethium, a securities broker licenced by the SEC Special Purpose Broker-Dealer (SPBD) to offer ETH custody services.
The SEC views Ethereum as a security, and its recent action on Bitcoin through ETFs is amusing too. Nevertheless, the US inter-agency dispute over ETH and BTC will bring entertainment too.

ShapeShift – SEC Settlement
Settlement:
Recently, Gary Gensler's US SEC sued Erik Voorhees' ShapeShift for selling securities between 2017 and 2019. ShapeShift settled this with the SEC out of court by paying a $275k fine and promising no future violation of any securities regulation.
Unaffected:
ShapeShift has settled the case with the SEC on its defunct platform. According to ShapeShift founder Erik Voorhees, the ShapeShift token FOX is not recognised as security and that ShapeShift DAO and existing ShapeShift are unaffected.
Political Warren:
ShapeShift has resolved its dispute with the SEC regarding its now-defunct CEX ShapeShift platform. However, anti-crypto Elizabeth Warren has voiced her opposition to ShapeShift, claiming that the move to DeFi amounts to money laundering.

Anti-Bitcoin Senator Menendez charged by DoJ for Corruption, obstruction
Anti-Bitcoin Democrat New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez and his wife Nadine are charged on multiple counts of obstruction to justice, bribery, extortion, corruption, and conspiracy.
US Federal authorities confiscated $480k in cash and $100k worth of gold bars from Menendez' residence.
Moreover, Menendez' famous quote is "Bitcoin can open the doors of corruption in El Salvador." Lol
Reports are - Menendez was bribed by Egypt to oppose Greece's claim on the Aegean sea Islands.
