SEC fines Ripple $1.95B
According to Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse, and CLO Stuart Alderoty, the SEC has fined Ripple Labs a total of $1.95 billion in -
- Disgorgement ($876M),
- Pre-judgement interest ($198M),
- Civil penalty (equal to the disgorgement amount).
Garlinghouse and Alderoty have begun preparations for further court proceedings, with Ripple Labs to respond to the court on April 22.
