DoJ seeks 3-year sentence for Binance founder CZ
० Court: Judge Richard A. Jones of the Western District of Washington is on Changpeng Zhao's (CZ) case. According to sources, CZ is set to be sentenced on April 30 in Seattle.
० DoJ Prosecutors: DoJ earlier was settling for. $50M fine and 18 months sentence for CZ, but now it is asking for double sentence (36 months), for his "willful violation" of the law.

० Lawyers Oppose: CZ's lawyers opposes DoJ sought 3-year sentence, and argued the sentence should be probation, not prison.
० CZ writes to Judge: Meanwhile, CZ has send a letter to Judge Richard, apologising for his poor decision, and taking full responsibility.

Tether Will Support US Sanctions on Venezuela
The U.S. has recently decided to reimpose sanctions on Venezuela's oil exports. Venezuela’s state-run oil firm, PDVSA, was planning to use USDT stablecoin to pass sanctions, forgetting that USDT issuer Tether is a centralised platform. As PDVSA's plan came out, Tether issued a warning saying it would freeze wallets that were using USDT to evade US sanctions on Venezuela.
