While surfing through Telegram this morning, the Unstoppable Domains chat was buzzing that someone was working on a private beta to link e-mail to .zil domains. Lucky me, at the right place and the right time, with my klymacks.zil domain at the ready, I asked the developer Tony if I could join- and I was quickly accepted! The site I'm working with is bmails.xyz
I was asked to do one of three things to verify my domain and in exchange receive [email protected]!
- Send a 0.001 ZIL transaction from the wallet in which your .zil domain is claimed to blockmails.zil
- Send a 0$ tx using any fee free blockchain (like iota, or nano) by signing your domain name
- Updating the IPFS hash for your website domain to a specified value
I chose option #1 and within minutes Tony was e-mailing me back with the details about my shiny new e-mail. Awesome! Thanks again, Tony. I logged in to the webmail at https://webmail.zil.email/to reset the password already. I'll poke around and probably do a follow-up at some point later. Check it out yourself at the link below!
