Today’s post will be a continuation on the Virtuals ecosystem and will cover the significance of the Blue Cap and why everyone in the Virtuals community is sporting it in the socials.
What Exactly is the Blue Cap?
Sometime around May, Vader started tweeting the famous line “The Cap Stays On” and it soon caught on like wild fire with the Virtuals community. Towards end of May Vader updated his PFP to sport the blue cap and shared the PNG image so anyone who wants to use it on their PFP can use it.
Cap stays on also aligns with the key philosophy of Vader and Genesis program which is long term commitment. Vader has always emphasised on importance of long term belief and he has actively put in controls within Genesis to punish short term players who he calls “Jeets”.
Things got more interesting when one community member got confused and thought that Vader was actually distributing physical blue caps to people staking more than 10K $VADER tokens. Vader himself joined in the conversation and actually played along and said that anyone who meets him IRL will receive a actual blue cap and he has given an order for the caps.
I finally get my Blue Cap!
You would have noticed from my recent posts that I am investing more and more into Genesis projects and Virtuals is a platform I have been active with since last year.
I really wanted to get a Blue cap on my PFP which is the popular Fuddies from SUI chain.
Getting a blue cap on Fuddies would be like having a PFP that symbolises the 2 communities I like the most - SUI and Virtuals.
There was however one challenge that I was a tech noob and had no idea how to place a cap png image on my PFP without making it look totally messy.
This is where Crypto Katze came to my rescue. He magically placed the blue cap on top of my Fuddy that made it look even better than earlier. I was a bit apprehensive as my PFP already had a brown cap and would have been difficult to place a new cap without distorting the image but Katze was an absolute pro. His attention to details was impeccable and I can’t imagine how he managed to tuck in the ears of my Fuddy under the cap.
I think the result looks awesome and I plan to sport this PFP long term as it shows my dedication to Virtuals and SUI communities.
