2024 has started with a bang with back to back Airdrops being launched in the first few days itself. Within first couple of days into the new year I had claimed two airdrops from $ZKF and $LFG.
I just got to hear about Manta Network sharing the eligibility for their $MANTA token airdrop.

Unexpected Airdrop from Manta
To be honest I was not expecting to be eligible for Manta airdrop as I never took part in any of their activities and even when I hear about their blockchain main net launch I did not take part. My main deterrent was that the bridging fee was $25 to $30 from their native bridge. Considering that I usually don’t keep more than $50 sitting idle I wouldn’t have left much left after the bridging. It seemed like a project more suitable for the whales to play around with so I decided to sit it out.
When the announcement about eligibility criteria was made I checked it half heartedly as I had seen in some recent airdrops that they also consider activity in other related chains and platforms. Considering I had been super active in ZK Sync last year I felt there was no harm in at least checking the criteria.
I was surprised to see that I was eligible for 21 $Manta because I minted an NFT for a Galxe quest I was doing as part of my zk Sync and Layer 2 grind.
Galxe, Zealy and Layer3 grinds for Quests, NFTs, OATs and Credentials is not Useless
I spent a lot of tie during 2023 being active in quests across Galxe, Zealy and Layer3. I know that getting hgh transaction volume always helps but I was doubtful about the innumerable NFTs and OATs they were throwing around to 100,000 users will ever be of any value.
Now I have to acknowledge that I underestimated them as they might be considered for more airdrops in the future.
I am now going to go back to Galxe and Layer3 and finish the quests I had left in the middle. You never know when one simple retweet on Twitter might land you a life changing airdrop. No, I don’t mean to say that my life will be changed by 21 $ Manta tokens but you get my drift that there is no harm in being over optimistic about the future when we are in the starting phase of a bull run.
Keep the Manta NFTs Safe!
In addition to the token airdrop you will also receive some NFTs from Manta as part of the first airdrop. They have also made an announcement that the accounts that hold this NFT in their wallet will get additional token eligibility in the next round of airdrop.
If this trend continue then I think we saw a PFP NFT mania last year we will see a similar project NFT mania this year.

In case you find yourself eligible for some tokens as part of the airdrop then give yourself a pat on the back for doing some good deeds last year which landed you this gift. Next you need to arrange for some ETH on Manta blockchain. I already told you their native bridge will charge you $25 which might use up. Big part of your airdrop allocation itself.
I suggest to use RhinoFi which is the cheapest bridging option from Ethereum to Manta and it cost me just $2 to bridge $20 onto Manta so I can mint my airdrop NFT and be ready to claim the airdrop, convert it and bridge it back all within $22. If I had tried using their bridge then my $22 won’t even cover the bridging fee.
