If you have been following the surge of AI based crypto projects you would have noticed it is the fastest growing sector across all major chains. Starting from Ethereum, Solana, BSC then going into a whole new dimension on BASE and is now the buzzword in smaller chains like SUI.

What Exactly is BRAINS Project?

BRAINS is a new AI project that is part of the Virtuals ecosystem on BASE. It is a new project launched around mid-december 2024. It’s tokens are available for trade on both BASE and Solana chains. It is a really small project with a current market cap of around $400K which means there is a lot of upside to grow if this project performs well.

I started following this project when it had less than 1K followers on X/Twitter and seen the followers grow to 10K despite the fact that the X account was locked for some time in between.

The Twitter account comes up with really interesting and witty comments related to on-going crypto market developments which generates a good amount of engagement for the followers. It is fascinating for me that this level of discussion is driven by some AI bot.

As part of their plan they have allocated a high amount of tokens for user quests and rewards. They will also be launching token staking, burning and other DeFI options in the coming weeks.

Their project is built on top of an existing app called GAME within the Virtuals ecosystem which makes it easier for them to access the technology stack of Virtuals. 

For their trivia campaign quests they plan to use AI to generate the puzzles so I am looking forward to see how they turn out.

The reason I am bullish long term on BRAINS is that it is built on the harnessing the attention of users and since last year we can clearly see how important it is to gain attention share of users as it will become the most valuable asset in the future to determine the success of any crypto project.

How to Participate in the Airdrop?

To raise awareness about the project BRAINS is giving out over 3.5 Million of it’s tokens through the airdrop program. I think this is a good opportunity to stack up on small bags of AI based projects as during this week their prices have corrected a lot offering a good entering opportunity for people who missed out the previous wave.
