Arbitrum has formally announced that they will be distributing the airdrop tokens to all eligible wallets next week. They have already shared which wallets are eligible to receive the airdrop, how many ARB tokens these wallets will receive and what criteria have been used to calculate the airdrop amount. You can check if you are eligible on arbitrum.foundation site. You should always check their official site to make sure you are accessing the official site and avoid getting scammed.

In the screenshot above you can see that the 6 criteria they have used is a mix of number of transactions, period over which you have been using Arbitrum based projects and the total amount you have transacted. Most of the people have received between 1,000 to 5,000 ARB tokens.

I have received 1,625 tokens which is not very high as most of my transactions were very small in size but you can’t complain about the free money. Most people are speculating that the $ARB tokens will be worth about $1 to $2 each assuming it will be similar to the Optimism airdrop. This would make it one of the biggest airdrops ever in the league of Uniswap and ENS.
