Masa's Avalanche subnet to power decentralized data marketplace. Data network Masa Finance, which describes itself as architecting the “decentralized Google for the AI era,” is set to launch a decentralized data network and marketplace in Q1 2024.
Masa is collaborating with the managed blockchain service AvaCloud to deploy a gasless Avalanche subnet (application-specific blockchain). The customizable blockchain will be designed to handle high volumes of zero-knowledge encrypted data efficiently and cost-effectively, according to a statement.
Metis creates $100M fund. The MetisDAO Foundation, the organization behind layer 2 rollup Metis, said Monday that it has created a roughly $100 million fund to accelerate the growth of its ecosystem.
The fund, called the Metis Ecosystem Development Fund (Metis EDF), will allocate 4.6 million METIS tokens, which will all go to “sequencer mining, retroactive funding, deployment of new projects and other endeavors,” according to a press release shared with CoinDesk.
