All Coins & Tokens are Worthy

Go to any crypto forum and there's plenty of chatter about how various alt coins are a waste of time, crap to collect, dead in the water or will never become anything. This view subscribes to the attitude of only focusing on coins with potential to "go to the moon," or they don't count. While I'll be the first to jump on board a token or coin that goes big or produces a nice airdrop, I'm not so quick to dismiss other tokens, even if they are being mass-dumped and thrown away as never producing.

If It Doesn't Cost Anything...

Who cares, right? If you end up getting a bunch of a given token, and it costs you nothing to let it sit in your wallet, what's the problem? This is common with a lot of tokens that get launched and a good amount is given away to help circulation or, lucky you, someone sent you their stash to off-load it. Either way, there was no cost for you to receive the amount, it sits in your wallet and you wait for something to happen. In these instances, simply HODLing and waiting until you find a viable channel to liquidate it is worth your time. Most of these tokens eventually end up having some kind of swap, bridge or exchange that takes them. Even if it's just a few dollars or pennies you get for it, it's free. So hold and swap when you get the chance and move on. Don't buy into the attitude of, oh I would never have that in my wallet. You'll be surprised how much real cash you can generate over time collecting up and then swapping when you find a viable opportunity to do so.

I have about 15 different wallets for the above. Some I use as a defensive wall to interact with new or unknown connection points. Others I use to just dump some esoteric token in and stuff it for a year or two until it becomes worth something. In fact, sometimes it's fun to find a bit of treasure on a wallet you dust off months after the fact depending on what happened with the token. That just happened to me today.

Avoid Buying In

There is quite a bit of new token activity expecting new players to "buy in" or exchange real tokens for some crazy number of the new token. Watch out for this stuff as it is an actual cost to you. More than likely, the new token fails on the spot and is simply a web-based mechanism to harvest people's real crypto and exchange it for crap. Common targets tend to be ETH, SOL and similar, especially with the rush to get in on the next meme coin project. Don't get left in the cold with an "investment" promise that has no basis.

Farm Discord Servers

Just about any discord server involved with a crypto project is going to drop or leak out some of its token, and those that want to enjoy lots of adoption will sign up for some of the Discord swap tools to get their token into more hands. All of these are great opportunity for farming and then swapping with various Discords swaps to the coin you really want. I tend to focus on taking the free junk I get and swapping into coins with minimal gas fees like SOL, NANO, LTC, BAN, DOGE, Tezos, TON and similar. While you won't break the bank, after a few months it is quite possible to have some balances reaching $25 - $50 if you consistently farming and swapping. Then you just transfer out of Discord into your preferred wallet and HOLD even more.

There has been some opportunity in Reddit with Moon coins and similar, but those platforms just are as developed or used heavily as Discord when it comes to distributing free crypto.

Remember, ongoing real value builds with repeat behavior and time. If you get that big lottery ticket, awesome! However, they tend to be once in a lifetime things, and consistent farming produces more. Don't sit idle, use every minute you have connected to pick up anything free you can get. The grind does pay off over time, and its a big ocean out there to harvest.
