- It is official. Today Bitcoin Cash (BCH) lost its 5th place in the cryptocurrency ranking to Chainlink (LINK). I sold my link at $16, originally bought with $5. Still, i learn not to cry about all this, there is always another coin/token ready to buy, and another ready to sell. I am still hodling into Parachute, let's see how this goes.
- Today we had also another record, this is the story of YAM, or how to destroy a DEFI token in 35 minutes. YAM was (yes, it was, as it is declared dead by his co-founder after two major flaws were underlined in the smart contract protocol) an yield farming protocol, and its story show us that the DEFI market started to learn and become more mature as it is growing up. No longer just shourting 'DEFIIIII!' will bring you the x100% increase and the millions of dollars in your pool. Well , in fact it is still bringing all the spam and glam, but only if you have a decent, hacker-proof project. If you are a programmer and want to know more, the line that cancelled the value of the token from 60 millions to zero was “totalSupply = initSupply.mul(yamsScalingFactor)”. The problem is that this line was not followed by “div(BASE)”, if you know what i mean.
- Winners and losers now, Swipe (Binance card processor) and Cred (Native token for Cred Earn - the Uphold related CEFI DAPP) are going up. Surprising, Helium is on the winners list with more than 77% increase, i do not know, i did not trust this project real life use, a private GPS network supported by people, with more than $350 to pay for the privilege of having a device similar with a Masternode, being rewarded for that. Could work in major cities, but not in rural areas, in my opinion. Losers of the day - big DEFI names like Compound, Ampleforth and Aurora, decreasing with 10-20% of their values.
- Uniswap volumes transactioned today were at an August all time high, with a blinding $1.76 billions so far.
- I do not know if you are a fan, but Doctor Who NFTs will be available soon, courtesy of BBC.
- Some very optimistic people are betting on ETH reaching $1000 sometimes between December 2020 and March 2021. More than 3,400 contracts, worth more than $1.25 million, were executed on the Panama-based Deribit exchange, the world’s largest crypto exchange by options trading volume.
- The latest strange thing that i learn is the notion of RAAS - Ransomware as a Service, with Avvadon being a ransomware paying refferals a percentage of the ransom. Refferal being the one helping to deploy the virus into the network. But, as there is always a but, they are only selling to Russian speaking clients of Russian oriented markets, so if you dont't speak Russian you may find it a bit hard to get your refferal rewards. The developers are not from North Korea, i presume! The irony, they are pleased to let the refferal to promote the product, leaving their developers (hackers) focused on improving the product making it faster and more adaptable. Latest versions also switched from BTC to Monero, due to some privacy issues.
- And one final rant, ETH fees are the highest level ever, the second day in a row. See chart.

That's all folks!
