My Crypto Journey - Week 4

My Crypto Journey - Week 4

By cryptojourney | crypto journey | 8 Mar 2020

Well here it is Week 4 of my journey within the crypto world and a complete redo of the post. I didn't like or feel it gave the right feel or justice to the project. I know that this post of course is a bit late. You can thank inventory week at work for that. Now that it's mostly over and my part is finished it's back to the norm until sometime in July when I get to repeat this week. Oh, yes so much fun counting stuff. If only it had been counting my crypto coins instead. I guess that's part of this post so you are in luck.

First it's time to visit the faucet gains - hardly anything at all this week and a major decision to be had after conducting a number crunch versus effort. While I don't mind the time it takes to do a captcha for a little something it was time to face the facts. Much more time was spent than gained over the month using CoinPot. I have chosen to shut that rotation down and move on to just a couple that are worthwhile to the project. From now on only two coins are worth the effort (BTC and Ether.) I may keep the one LTC faucet as well, but it may get relegated to as I have time.

This week was to say rather sluggish in adding to my portfolio, but still saw some modest gains over all. I must say that while not entirely exciting I did have a couple firsts that at the very least are of some note. I was able to get my very first actual reward from the Brave Browser of any true value even if it was small. Next months will be better for sure in that regard. In preparing for this post I did a little digging and found a way to track all of my holdings in one place. That means no more bullet point lists! This week I present to you my first portfolio pie chart.

As always this month will see a new experiment of sorts that I believe will do better than that of the first one by leaps and bounds. For this experiment over March I have downloaded the CryptoTab Browser. Here's how this is going to work with the limits that I have when it comes to any lucrative mining. My prediction for this experiment is that while the Satoshi gains will be modest at best that they will still be higher than using a faucet which only produced 7k Satoshi over 30 days. Remember this more out of fun and just trying something different than to make huge amounts. However, anything gained is of course welcomed with open arms and wallet.

1. Run the miner (off peak hours only).

2. Mine from one source only (my laptop).

3. Cash out every 7th day.

4. Mini weekly gains report.

5. Full BTC gains posted at the end of the month.

As always thank you for taking the time to read the post and for those of you that tipped it's much appreciated. Until next time I wish you well in you crypto endeavors and stay safe out there in the crazy wild west of the crypto world. I know that I have enjoyed this journey greatly over the last four week and am more excited than ever to keep this project going over the rest of the year.

This year I have started getting more into cryptocurrency than in years past. So I figured why not document my first real foray into the space now that I actually have some skin in the game.
