My cryptocurrency adventure - how I started and what's next.

When I started blogging here, on Publish0x, three months ago I had a very straightforward plan in my mind - to bring you a piece of the Czech Republic here. Which isn't exactly the best place to be blogging about such topics. Here, the number one topic is and will always be CRYPTO. And I want a bit of that trend for myself 😏.

I have some little experience with cryptocurrencies as well. To be honest I am kind of passionate about crypto. I spent about 30 minutes going through all my wallets, exchanges... and my exodus wallet met her (his, really depends) first crypto exactly 8 months and 23 days ago - a beautiful day on the 16th of January.

Those days I was trying all kinds of crypto fauces, PTC sites, etc... And from that day on, my wallet has filled up nicely. Lots of different coins. Every day I spent a few hours quietly looking at my portfolio charts. Reading crypto-related articles, watching youtube videos. I absolutely loved it all.

And after thirteen days I decided to spend some REAL CASH and bought bitcoin. My enthusiasm continued to grow. I got to the point where I was kind of trading daily. And it was quite successful!

That is, eh, until bitcoin crashed from $60k to $30k. And I sort of just bought it for about $59k. I've been holding it ever since. Am I at a loss? Nowadays I think I do get a bit of profit, finally!!

Funny thing is, I acquired about 100 DOGE from PTCs but sold it like a week before the big price BOOM. Also, I bought about 1 000 DOGE before the boom and sold it for loss. Because I thought, stupid as I am, that it's just a MEME coin and it will never accomplish anything. The real stupid I was when I sold it …

What's next?

I still use a few of those PTC sites. I can say that I have tried dozens of such sites since I started. Some were better than others, some sucked, and some have stuck with me ever since. I'll definitely do a separate article about these “FREE CRYPTO” sites. But I can reveal that the only site I use really daily is CoinPayU.

I still want to trade crypto, but the last few months have been a little tougher for me financially. Also because I trade stocks regularly as well, and I still prefer that over crypto, because I understand and trust it a bit more, especially since it's more predictable.

And I would also like to try crypto staking, in the near future. I am not quite sure right now which coin to start staking, but I'm sure I can figure it out.

Lastly, I use a lot of sites just to get referrals on them. I have multiple lists with my referrals in them that I promote. But that hasn't had much success so far. Except for one site, I managed to get something like 100 referrals, and most of them are still active. So that gives me a few hundredths of an LTC a day (a week, a month).

I absolutely love how my wallet fills up every week or so. It's not much from the PTCs sites, but it's still totally free. (Not totally free, it costs my time, but if I enjoy it and have nothing better to do, why not!) With a little discipline, it can yield big results in a few months or years.

Plus, it's a great way to experiment on your own and learn more about cryptocurrencies in practice.
