13 Best Crypto Podcast Episodes of All Time

By Ben Wehrman | Crypto for Creators | 4 Jan 2021

Hello friends!

A few months ago, I posted a collection of the 13 Best YouTube Videos to Share With Crypto Newbies. I got a lot of great feedback from that, so I decided to create this sequel for all the podcast fans out there!

This time around, I want to make one thing very clear: This is meant to be a catalyst for discussion!

Before leaving this page, do the entire Publish0x community a favor, and drop a link to your favorite crypto podcast in the comments. If you haven't listened to any yet, congratulations! This list will be a great place to start.

Here we go!

#1. Bitcoin Audible: Vijay Boyapati

This one's simply a reading of one of the greatest Bitcoin explanations ever conceived: "The Bullish Case For Bitcoin" by Vijay Boyapati. It's a masterpiece from start to finish--an absolute must-listen (or read).

#2. Pomp Podcast: Murad Mahmudov

This will always hold a place in my crypto podcast hall-of-fame, because it just covers SO MUCH DANG CONTENT.

While the first 15 minutes are fairly slow, trust me, you'll want to stick around. Once these dudes get warmed up, shit starts to get VERY real.

My personal favorite part of the episode is Pomp's "devil's advocate" section, where he bounces off common skeptic points to Murad, who brilliantly dismantles them. If you're a complete noob to the space, this is one you'll want to listen to a couple of times to absorb as much as you can. It's one of the best out there.

#3. Pomp Podcast: Raoul Pal Part II

I've listened to this episode more than any other on this list, for one main reason: Raoul Pal is my absolute favorite person to listen to whenever I second-guess the enormous bet I've personally made on Bitcoin.

Here we have a guy who's spent his entire career rubbing elbows with the best in the business, and building a thesis around the Bitcoin revolution that's completely independent of media noise. You can tell by listening to him that he's as straight a shooter as they come, which only increases my willingness to strap in with him on this wild rollercoaster ride.

#4. What Bitcoin Did: Andreas Antonopolous Beginner's Guide #1

If you haven't heard of Andreas Antonopolous, you've got some catching up to do! He's widely regarded as the king of cryptocurrency educators, and this episode is a microcosm of his teaching talents. If I were to pick one "best speaker" in the crypto space, Andreas takes the crown.

#5. Pomp Podcast: Aleks Svetski

In a sea of crypto podcasts that follow a similar format of one-way questioning, I love how this one is just 2 cool dudes shooting the breeze about how magical internet money is about to flip the whole world on its head. Be aware that this was taped right as COVID lockdowns were rampantly blanketing the globe, so they don't hold back their opinions on the matter.

But, aside from that, this is just an epic conversation about what Bitcoin is doing for the world, in a more bro-esque, unfiltered language that many Gen Z/Millenial folks will connect to.

#6. Bill Bert Podcast: Anthony Pompliano

I included this one in my 13 Best YouTube Videos to Share With Crypto Newbies post because I originally watched it in video form, but you can find it in podcast form as well.

It's a top pick of mine for 2 reasons:

a. It's hilarious.

Bill Burr is an extremely funny dude, so it's genuinely enjoyable to watch this conversation unfold. We all know that having conversations with our friends and family about Bitcoin can be a bit of a slog, so this entertainment aspect can't be understated.

b. Bill and Bert represent a HUGE portion of the population's knowledge baseline.

They both have a barebones understanding of how the government and centralization is screwing us, but beyond that, they need a helping hand from Anthony. This is a BEAUTIFUL thing to have, since so many listeners of this podcast will be able to relate to these "normal guys."

#7. Hyperchange: Michael Saylor

When I saw this episode pop up on my feed, it instantly became my quickest "see-to-click" time of any podcast ever.

Why? Because Hyperchange is a legendary YouTube channel for my biggest non-crypto passion (sustainability & electric vehicles). So, to see Gali talking to one of the biggest names in Bitcoin was simply epic.

And let me tell you, the crossover of my two lives did not disappoint! Michael Saylor continued his rampage across the social mediasphere with a fantastic interview here, breaking down why Tesla would be incredibly smart to place a portion of its balance sheet into BTC. As many of you know, I work at Tesla, so I've been banging the tables since day 1 for our payroll team to incorporate Bitcoin options for employees.

This may be a long way from reality, but it's extremely encouraging to see bigger and bigger influences making their case to papa Elon to embrace crypto.

#8. Pomp Podcast: Michael Saylor

While the Hyperchange episode above was a more quick & to-the-point breakdown of Saylor's Bitcoin thesis, Pomp takes a much deeper dive into the man behind the Bitcoin bet of the decade.

This discussion of Saylor's experience, big wins & losses, and general outlook on investing in disruptive tech took me to the next level of respecting this dude, and you KNOW I bought more Bitcoin immediately after I finished listening.

#9. Tim Ferriss Show: Naval Ravikant, Nick Szabo

Tim Ferriss is one of the all-time podcasting GOATs as far as I'm concerned, and his foray into cypto lived up to my expectations.

One of my favorite things about this episode is that it's not just crypto fanatics talking. It's got Nick Szabo (a blockchain god), Naval Ravikant (a blockchain enthusiast, but more of an investing expert), and Tim Ferriss (a blockchain noob, but very knowledgeable in psychology and how it affects the business world).

Being three extremely smart dudes from entirely different backgrounds, it's fascinating to hear them discuss the potentially earth-shattering effects of the cryptocurrency wave.

#10. Unchained: Naval Ravikant

If you enjoyed listening to Naval's viewpoint in the Tim Ferriss episode above, this one's a fantastic encore. I just love the professionalism and clout he brings to the space.

#11. Rise of the Young: Tyler Winklevoss

While researching for additional podcasts to add to this post, I came across a couple of real gems. This was probably the best of that group.

Casey Adams did a fantastic job steering this conversation in a way that brings maximum value to the widest range of skill level-listeners possible. It's a prime example of the type of podcast that I feel compelled to share with my no-coiner friends, since it avoids all the fancy technical lingo, and gets straight to the main points.

Big shoutout to Casey for putting this one together, he did an incredible job, and gained a new subscriber!

#12. What Bitcoin Did: Alex Gladstein & Jaraslau Likhachevski

This podcast is completely different than the rest on this list, but I won't argue if you think it's the most valuable of them all. It welcomes two fascinating guests:

1) A Belarus citizen who's on the frontlines in protesting the corrupt leader's attempted rigging of an election

2) An experienced member of a pro-democracy group, who has seen firsthand how permissionless currencies like Bitcoin are providing new opportunities for citizens in corrupt governments across the world to sustain their efforts in fighting for what's right.

#13. What Bitcoin Did: Cynthia Lummis

Stop me if you've heard this one from your friends before:

Bitcoin can never succeed--the government will just ban it if it gets too big!

Well folks, I found you some fantastic ammo for the next time you hear that!

This episode brings to the stage Cynthia Lummis, the Wyoming Senator-elect and outspoken Bitcoin bull. I don't care what your political views are, it's absolutely CRITICAL that we get people on the inside interested, so you should be hyped to hear what she has to say.

This episode is also a fantastic segway into a new post I've been working on as we speak...my theory that the U.S. government will shock the world and EMBRACE Bitcoin. You won't want to miss that one, so don't forget to like & follow this post! <3

Thanks for reading, folks!
