Ripple (XRP) has gained market share after winning the case against the SEC, and has started offering CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) projects.
CBDC NEEDS XRP?
Ecuador initiated CBDC in 2014, which was flopped and called back in 2018. CBDC is a complex process, and needs service of experts. XRP is taking advantage of this situation and its proposal has attracted different countries ex Bhutan (Asia), Montenegro (Europe), Colombia (South America), and others.
BEGINNING WITH THE ENTRY OF PALAU
Palau, a small island nation in the continent of Oceania, is the first country to issue the first stablecoin "Kluk" on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) as part of its country’s CBDC project, Palau Stablecoin (PSC). Palau does not have its own currency; it uses the US dollar, so Kluk is also USD-backed.
THE CBDC FUTURE OF XRP
The future of XRP's CBDC project depends on PSCs. If the PSC project becomes successful, the CBDC market for XRP will attract other Governments too. Apart from this, the CBDC issued on XRPL is likely to find an international market as a stablecoin in the crypto world.
