G20 Talks to discuss Bitcoin and crypto Ban or Regulations

By Yugocean | Crypto Champion | 26 Feb 2023

G20 is getting prepared in India.  There should be meeting on economic policies, and the issue of cryptography should not arise - this is not possible.

The G20 President, India, has called for a united  approach to deal with economic issues arising out of bitcoin and altcoins.

US only supports regulations, not Ban

US treasury secretary Janet Yellen has cleared that that they have no intention to ban Bitcoin, but want to regulate it.

Actually there are many states in US where Bitcoin is legal, like Texas, California etc. There are politicians who take their salary, and even campaign funds in Bitcoin and other crypto. US treasury cannot decided on the decision of State, so actually they cannot ban if they have intention to ban.

IMF wants Ban (if possible)

Nope, not Impossible Missio nForce, but The International Monetary Fund, it is no friend of Bitcoin, and wants to stop it, however no matter what, it did not succeed. However,  to show itself turned soft, the institution is ready to regulate (control) crypto.

Switzerland based Financial Stability Board (FSB), which is involved into DeFi, is also on the board

Divided We Stand

Every country and organisation in the G20 has its own view. It has never happened that different countries agree on any issue. Still, all the countries are keeping their own views, which are so different that it is not possible to form a united global policy.
